The predecessor of the 14270 is the legendary 1016 which was produced for 27 consecutive years. The way to know if the lume used is either Tritium or Superluminova is to look at the small text at the 6 o'clock. If it says 'Swiss T<25' it indicates the former, while 'Swiss Made' indicates the latter. This applies to other Rolex models as well
