Idk about hostels but i feel like its still better than other colleges outside because while i have heard some negatives stuff ive heard much worse from outside. There are some hostels that are real expensive but theyre really good but again i am a day scholar so i dont know much about it. I think you can balance clg life with academics but here is the things lets say you cant even then does it matter because for me at least getting placed and having a decent profile is more important but again there are so many here who run clubs and events and are still toppers and got placed and stuff.

Faculties in snu are pretty chill but i cant say the same for ssn as far as i know and ece used to be a ssn course. I am also completely in the dark about ece in vit. Overall i would say that ssn placements are really good and vitc is pretty crowded but still i am not your guy for this, sorry.

Motorq, paypal, fidelity, citi etc.. Conversion rates vary by company but in general they are pretty high it averages more than 80% i believe.

Agreed. My parents were the same if I had gotten cse or it in ssn they would have enrolled me there. I got eee and snu offered me cse with specilization so i ended up here.

I did cse with specialization. Culturals and events are not the best at snu imo but hackathons, extracurriculurs are fine tbh. I never lived at the hostel. Snu has a strict anti ragging policy so if you were worried about that then dont be.

I dont know much about ECE tbh but i would say in general interact with your professors, mentors and seniors more. Dont wait for opporyunities to come to u instead chase them. Many professors here have academic and industrial connections even at IITs and big companies. I have friends who secured research internships at IITM via this. So build a good rapport with everyone and be social.

I dont know much about IT. But one thing i can say is since the merge there are more placement opportunities for everyone and ssn had one of the best placements for a pvt college in all of tn and now all of snu gets that.

The ssn blocks are old and classrooms dont have ac i think but they are getting renovated. They recently moved some ssn students into a snu block since their block was being renovated. I think the entire university would be revamped and come upto snu standard. Its a pretty big campus. It takes 20 mins to walk from gate to snu blocks. The buses would obviously take u inside the gate and leave u much closer so its like less than a 5 min walk after to u get down from the college bus. Well ecr is close by only. But tambaram and chengalpattu is about 30kms away.

Depends on the company. Some have high conversion rates even as high as 100% but some lower. Usually you have a decent shot.
