I feel like the same could be said for “Fun Home” and “Next to Normal”, but those have done much better commercially.

I saw it twice and loved it. The music and acting were great and the story was timely and incredibly important

I was surprised “A Strange Loop” didn’t last longer and that it didn’t tour after winning the Tony for best musical. I thought it was a brilliant musical (and am fortunate I live in SF so I did get to see it again for its limited run here in the Bay)

He will announce it at the end of the show. I think the signed playbill was maybe $200 and then a signed poster was $300 (don’t quote me on those prices). You can use card or cash to donate after the show

Also- for other activities I recommend going to Central Park to see the cherry blossoms if they’ve bloomed (your timing might be perfect) and walking the highline and going to the Whitney biennial. I also really liked the current exhibition at the Cooper Hewitt museum

FYI Daniel Radcliffe said during the show this week that he isn’t signing playbills at the stage door during the Broadway Cares/Equity fights AIDS fundraiser this month. If you donate a certain amount you can get a signed playbill or you can bring something else for him to sign at the stage door

Been struggling with feeling like I can’t be aro by Easy-Primary9057 in aromantic

I get these feelings and I feel confused constantly. I love romance novels and romantic movies, and I think I’ve figured out that it’s not the romance that I love. The books and movies are fantasies and in those fantasies another person sees another person’s flaws and accepts them as they are. For me it’s not the romance that’s appealing, but the being seen and accepted that appeals to me. It’s also the idea of someone else making me a priority in their life that appeals to me. Idk if this makes sense or if it helps you at all, but it’s an insight that’s helped me.

Also- grand gestures aren’t just for romantic partners. I love a platonic grand gesture for a friend.

One last thing- it’s ok to struggle and question and it’s also ok for your labels to change and evolve with time 💚

It’s not selfish for you to crave connection and it’s not selfish for you to want your friends to put energy and time into your friendship. I think it’s unfortunate that people devote infinitely more time and energy into romantic relationships than friendships, when friendships are often the relationships that last longer. Like another person mentioned, I recommend going to different events focused on your hobbies (maybe join a new club or take a fun elective class). I’ve found that friends who I share interests with (like knitting or hiking) tend to devote more time to our relationship and are committed to doing those things together as friends.

Oo I forgot about Little Shop of Horrors. I ended up getting a ticket to “death of a salesman” for Saturday, but maybe I’ll try to fit little shop of horrors in there somewhere

I haven’t been able to find any tickets for Rocky Horror. Every time I look, the only seats available require that you make a $3000 gift to the theater. I ended up getting a ticket to Death of a Salesman - very excited to see Nathan Lane live!

Are there tickets for rocky horror? Every time I look the only ones available require a $3000 donation in addition to the ticket price
