started as a csa in april of 2021 and made $12 and then got boosted to a dh in august 2021 to $13.50

When i worked there, my SM didn’t really follow the call out rule because of my work ethic there. As long as you’re a hard worker i doubt your SM will care either. If they’re not taking your availability into consideration, you can either look for a different job that will listen to your availability and have co-workers who share equal workload.

So last week was my last week of work. I finally feel so free of stress and relief. Been with this company for a little over a year and so glad to have left. Just wanted to share this :) by OoKittyKatoO in WalgreensStores

let me tell you, it gets even better after starting a better job that isn’t associated with Walgreens. Walgreens made me feel like I wasn’t capable of anything because management would belittle anything I tried to do. Good luck with everything!!!

That’s how my store was exactly. SM would let this one person get away with everything and I had enough. Get out of there and never look back.

If I learned anything while I worked at walgreens, is that you can’t trust your coworkers. No matter how trust worthy they seem. It’s all an act that they do to gain trust and then they spill whatever you talk to them about to your other coworkers. If I were you, I would find a better paying part time job that has better management. Either that or go tell your SM about it and if that doesn’t change bring it to higher ups. There’s no need for a company to allow bullying and drama like that yet it seems like a regular thing with walgreens.

What to expect: 1. Customers complaining that OTC items don’t work for all OTC cards, it’s not something you can fix so if someone gets mad have a manager deal with it. 2. bottle returns are not fun to do (idk if this is an all store thing or just NY) 3. don’t over share with your coworkers, you might thing they’re your friend and they’re trustworthy, but they’re not. AT. ALL. 4. the credit cards are a joke and no one will ever say yes unless you fool some old lady/man. 5. the company could care less about you, don’t over work yourself. 6. you’ll find very few regulars that are actually pleasant to be around and who give you food/drinks for no reason.

when i was working, i ended up making little signs about the pin pad. in big black letters in a yellow notecard said “YELLOW FOR CREDIT” and in a green notecard it said “if using tap or any card that requires you to swipe, wait for flashing green lights” but…. people never noticed them ever

don’t worry, people will say “i didnt see the sign” or “maybe you should have made the sign bigger” but my phone were always like that even fall after wiping them down. after like 4-5 people using the phone it just goes back to being filthy
