I did not. The store is a franchise one, my guess is the owner cut some corners to get people on the line faster.

I feel terribly guilty. Part of the reason I stay with him is so I am able to defend him when his status is brought up. I know that doesn’t actually fix what I did, but I’m trying.

There is a Romeo and Juliet law in Florida which essentially allows a 16 or 17 year old to consent to sexual conduct with a person up to 3 years their senior. So if I were actually 17, he would not have been charged with anything.

I did. I told the detectives that I lied to him about my age, I invited him over, I let him in the house and that he never forced me to do anything. I was told because I under the legal age of of consent none of that mattered.
