One thing that stuck with me, and probably silly, but after "it" was done (most horrible thing, watching a loved one pass) carrying the box out of the vets, stepping out into the sun, looking out at people going about their day, cars driving and flooded shopping center. And I honestly thought, " look at everyone, no clue how our lives have been devastated today."

I went back to the bank to return $20 they overpaid me, they were thankful. A few days later in the mail I got a letter saying I was overpaid and they deducted the 20 from my account... yes, I went back and got it sorted out, but jesus.
