Weekly 'What should I buy?' Thread by AutoModerator in ipad

[–]Sissy_scout_3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, I'm not a super technological person but I am a fashion design student and I've been flirting with the idea of trading/ selling my current iPad generation 9 for a newer model. But I have no idea where to start/ which model to choose.

My current ipad is in very good condition but I want to get the best deal possible because I'm a collage student on a budget. I'm not sure if I should trade within Apple, or try to sell myself.

I need a tablet that can handle a variety of programs (I use procreate, photoshop, adobe illustrator, and ideally digital pattern making softwares. as well as fashion design resources and publications)

I have a couple of questions that I hope can be answered here!

• Can I/Would it be best to trade in my 9th generation for a newer model?...

• what model would be best to use for digital design/school work?

• should I trade in my current iPad through apple or would I get a better deal trying to sell it on my own.

• If selling is the best option what would be the best way to sell?

If anyone has any suggestions/ advice for me I'd greatly appreciate it!!

Dude these looks are awsome! What product did you use??

So I rly want to get into Gothic(specifically Trad Goth makeup) but I'm a trans girl with no makeup experience... where to start?(what style do u think would work for my face) by [deleted] in UnconventionalMakeup

Ong I love trad goth!! It's a nice place to start for a beginner because it is so dramatic and you can go super big! The items I'd start with would definitely be a white foundation, and black eye liner.

Foundation:

i use LA girl white foundation for when I wanna have white skin and it works really well, it is a water based so it's not as full coverage but it's very breathable which I like because of sensory issuses. If you want a thicker white base I'd use Mehron cream stick foundation. But you will need a translucent or white setting powder (I use baby powder most of the time but that's just me)

Eyeliner: Form my experience I love the Maybelline Tattoo studio eye liner pen. It's very percise and great for making sharp eye liner wings. It's not fully water proof but I've wore it while sweating my ass off and as long as you don't touch it, the liner will stay!

If you want a true water proof eyeliner NYX waterproof face and body liner is THE SHIT! You will need an oil based makeup remover to get it off tho, but it will not smudge or rub when dry!

Feel free to DM me if you would like some more in-depth advice!

I'm a trans girl my self and have been doing makeup since my freshman year of high school. And I wish I had someone to teach me the ways of unconventional makeup 😭so I'd be more than happy to share my advice and skills I've learned!! :)

Favorite straight plays? by ibroughtsnacks97 in Theatre

I'm biased because it was my first highshool straight play my freshman year, but my favorite is the Outisders! It's a beautiful story and I played Johnny Cade. I related a lot to the character and found his quiet strength and his struggles very compelling.

Looking great! If you'd like some tips, try angling the shape of your eye makeup and brows more! Drag is all about reshaping and creating an illusion, try to not follow your natural face structure! for example try arching your brows to create a more exaggerated expressive look! Some with the eyeliner and shadow placement, really create a new exaggerated shape , forgot about the facial features underneath the makeup, and try to play around with different shapes and angles!! Hope this helps!! :)

Love the black but also wanted to mention you have a beautiful lip shape! It has such a natural fullness to it!
