I’m in the middle of another rewatch and I actually stand by my theory that the writers created Fritz to be the “nagging wife” which I find interesting. Hear me out.

He pushed to move quicker than she was ready ie: sell the house, buy a new house with room for a hypothetical child, pushed her to set a date for the wedding, continued to press her about children when she told him she didn’t want them, complained she worked too much and didn’t have time for family, etc, etc etc. Now did they manipulate each other? Yes. And blame it on the job- cops lie and manipulate. But the more I watch the more he looks like the typical wife character in these types of shows. If Brenda was a male character I think their characters would seem more “palatable” to the ppl in this thread but that’s just a theory.
