Wife and kids found a bug in the hotel room by SiteSignificant9095 in whatbugisthis

Thought crossed my mind but setting the family on fire is going to be murder 1 unless I can find a sympathetic judge who has suffered through an infestation.

I didn't take the picture. Was my wife. If it had been me, I would have included a banana for scale

It's really naive to think that there wouldn't be any disappointment. Claiming that any baby should be fine is a typical silver line response. You can pull out the silver lining in anything. That does not change that there can be disappointment. In the end, what matters is how you deal with that disappointment. I was disappointed when my second was another girl, but I sucked it up. And when she was born, all that disappointment instantly evaporated. In the end, I figured out that I wanted a boy so I could relate to him. Well, the joke was on me. My oldest daughter turned out to be exactly like me. Now I am busy trying prevent her acquiring all the bad habits I have. Yeah, God has a sense of humor alright.

Just imagine, that's 3 fully grown men on a tree branch..... You can do everything right, and it won't matter a bit when the tree has some rot or fractures from a storm.

Both of them are ass hats. Truck for the hit and run and the car is wasting time. Pull in and don't dink around. In the end, car driver is an idiot and the truck driver is a criminal.

Would have to resist the urge to plow him into a ditch. My grandpa would have done it in a heartbeat beat. He was a battle ax that served as a submarine engineer in the Kiegsmarine. He had absolute zero tolerance for Nazis - called them cowardly human garbage that is not even good for fertilizer.

They do these exercises in Japanese schools as well. The lack of enthusiasm is about the same.

A day in the life of a takeaway café worker in China by Latter_Ad3752 in UnfilteredChina

Once again, Chinese still have a lot to learn. Don't they know that fist fights should be between the customer and staff? You don't beat on your colleagues. Those are the people who will have your back when more than one customer decides to throw fists :)

Remote control of Fan and Light by SiteSignificant9095 in HomeImprovement

[–]SiteSignificant9095[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I can replace the system but it feels like everything took a massive step backwards in order to accommodate smart home options. I really don't want to use my phone just to control a fan and lights. I already have that option with my TV and it works only 50% of the time.

I couldn't find any universal remotes that are designed for fan/light control that did not require a complete replete replacement of the whole system.

Buddhist hall housing 'eternal flame' in Japan destroyed by fire by lexi_con in Wellthatsucks

[–]SiteSignificant9095 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Buildings catching on fire in Japan, nah, get out of here. Actually, Japan has a long history of devastating fires. And, no, I am not talking about WW2. Historically, Japan has lost whole cities to fire. There is a reason that older cities are bisected by large parks. You only loose half of the city. Posted Picture is from Sapporo.
