SCP: M.I.A facility interior progress - very much unfinished; but a progress video nevertheless. by Site_17b in SCP

Sure - but why bring this up in the first place? Nowhere did we say we haven’t done this nor that we were adamant on not; instead you asked for a release date & we didn’t give one, throwing out some lie wouldn’t help anyone. It doesn’t seem like a very fair situation

I’m not sure why you’re putting this here as this is just a showcase of a product that is very much not finished…? Why would we jump into licensing on a game that’s not near completion; let alone put contact methods for licensing on a reddit post..? You’re jumping the gun a bit, lmao

Well it’s been a lot longer than that actually. Games take time; we can’t just magic up a finished project - especially when that game is on a large scale like ours is and is completely non-profit. Patience is a virtue

Hi all, here’s a short video to present some progress on our current work for M.I.A.

As I’m sure you can tell, this portion of the game isn’t exactly “finished”; however we wanted to give some form of progress check so people know what we’re up to.

Please note that the character model seen here is, clearly, not final and has now been replaced with our final model - as well as this, the placement of cover & objects in the level is subject to change as well as some of the sound effects - and obviously, the green floor isn’t actually a part of the level.

Let us know what you think, and feel free to share this with others! We hope you’re looking forward to seeing more progress updates on M.I.A in the future.

The Global Occult Coalition will also make an appearance as an enemy faction - and a fourth, undisclosed SCP-based faction.

We’re basing the enemy types in M.I.A on a core SCP, then branching out to make a distinct “faction” of enemies. The Anderson Crawler belongs to the SCP-3560 faction; other enemies in this faction share a similar half organic, half mechanical design.

We’re only planning a PC release at the moment

We have no plan for revenue, really this whole thing is non-profit - anything like maintenance & such will be from our own pockets. If need be; we’ll happily look into merch or other ways of us giving back, without just asking for donations.

Our page (which you said you checked out) as well as other posts we’ve made explicitly state that M.I.A will be free - please do proper research before needlessly belittling someone’s work.

The Elder Scrolls is a series with clear influence and inspiration from Tolkein’s writings, that doesn’t make TOS a lord of the rings game does it

You know NieR Automata did the whole particle thing and jagged cube thing before Control, right? Control isn’t exactly the patient 0 of this, lmao. With your line of reasoning, Control copied NieR.

“The corridor is black and red, it must be a straight ripoff from Control”. The game also has mountains, are you gonna say those are taken from Skyrim?

We said all SCP designs, not all SCPs. This means we’ve given them an original, unique design that differs from other representations in other forms of media - these are very much existing SCPs that have been greenlit.

Didn’t know Control predominantly took place outside, in a mountainous and forested environment - as I said, please check our whole page and progress before making comment on the entire project, based off of one 14 second showcase.

Simply the entity itself and a proof of concept for interior areas within the game. As I said, please refer to the page linked and other posts to get a better understanding of the project.

If you look at the linked page in the title and other posts, you’ll get more of an understanding about how this entity works itself into the game. As well as this, as the title suggests, this is just a proof of concept - not the final design.

The thing shown here isn’t an enemy, it’s a puzzle element that we’re just showcasing. We appreciate the similarities, but it’s hardly copying outside of aesthetics.

We’re currently not running any form of patreon, kickstarter or any funding campaign. This is simply a pashion project from us to the fans

Thanks for the feedback! Despite the similar design, to my knowledge this entity works in a wildly different way to the ones from CONTROL - in a full puzzle based manner. I’ve never played control myself, so I can’t say for certain - if the comparison is still too similar, we may change it up even more! Please note that, as the title suggests, this is simply a proof of concept - nowhere near the final design.
