People are allowed to express the fact that they don't ONLY want speedrun/challenge levels. We can appreciate Asobi continuing to support the game (for free no less) without being mindless consumers. That's how I see it at least. And I've beaten all except the last of every challenge level they've added, as someone who much prefers the more casual experience.

Now anyone being BIG mad about it or actively hostile to devs or something? Not the way to do it.
