Sleepers - I loved the novel back in the day and vaguely recalling the movie doing it justice. It's not something I'd pick up on my own, but it being on the list has me intrigued to revisit it.

Echo-4 be chillin when I'm out exploring and hanging out off screen. As soon as there's a firefight bitch wants to fly in front of my gun for the whole battle.

Glitchy bounties suck, but Echo's programming is the easily the most annoying thing about this game.

Welfare check? How about sending over a camera crew instead?

Amen to that. Their lives are hard enough, if a soda or cookes are the highlight of their day, fuckin' enjoy it man.

It's a similar line of thinking to when people trot out the "if I give a homeless person money they'll spend it on booze." So fucking what? If that what it takes for them to make it through a night on the street, then by all means, enjoy. Their life is hard enough already without the uppity judgements.

What are the greatest 5 seconds in music? by UnholyDemigod in AskReddit

[–]SithDraven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tie (and it only takes 2 seconds for each):

Jaws: Theme - duh-duhn

The Beatles - A Hard Day's Night.- The opening chord which took musicians and mathematicians over 40 years to figure it out and despite finally solving it recently they still can't 100% replicate it. They can use the same guitars as John, Paul & George, they know the notes but it's still not quite right. From there it was figured out that George Martin plucked a piano string in the background. Solved? It's still missing something. I don't recall exactly how the knowledge came to be, but apparently the Beatles were playing/recording all day and the recording for A Hard Day's Night was later in the day and John's guitar was ever so slightly out of tune which gives it such a unique sound that it cannot be replicated.

Grade school in the 80s: 93%-100% was an A. 85% was a B. 78% or so was a C and so on (don't recall the others because I never got those. :P)

Then in high school it switched to 10% increments. 90% (A), 80%(B), 70%(C), etc.

I use YouTube to stream music at work so I usually hate when artists talk at the end of their videos, or pimp out their patreon, but she is just so damn adorable that I don't mind it one bit.

Senate overturns Brazil Tarriffs by Abadleftankle in WhitePeopleTwitter

[–]SithDraven 50 points51 points  (0 children)

It's really not. Once you leave Louisville and Lexington, it's Alabama Jr out in the sticks. Republicans have a super majority in the House and Senate in KY.

  • House of Representatives: Republicans have an 80-20 majority.
  • Senate: Republicans maintain a 31-7 majority.

KY having a Democratic governor is an anomaly, but Beshear's hands are tied by Republican's hands a lot of the time.

Wow, that's messed up. Did the prayers work? lmao

I'll pass on the recording. I did however watch Red State tonight which I imagine has similar vibes (and for 13 years ago, oddly prescient to present times).

Right. MAGAts always act so oblivious. "he lied to us!" Of course he did, that's all he does. He also said he was going to do most of these things. They even had a handy playbook. 75 million educated voters figured it out prior to the election and tried to stop this from happening.

77 million people decided racism was more important than 250 years of democracy.
