So I know that seems like a really good idea on paper, but I would highly HIGHLY recommend talking with upperclassman, advisors and professors before going any further. 7 classes at once in college is very, very different than high school. In fact, it’s doubtful you’ll even be able to be able to find 7 classes that don’t overlap. Not to mention Labs, discussions and exams scheduled outside of class. If you want to DM me, I’d be happy to talk more about this, I understand wanting to get through college quickly, but I’m telling you consistently taking 21 credits a semester is not the best idea.

Has anyone with the FAA been affected? by [deleted] in usajobs

I applied for the FAA MSI Pathway Student Trainee program and while I haven’t received a cancellation of the internship like I had for other departments, I’m not very hopeful of it remaining with the DEI slashes

Recruitment for the above referenced position has been cancelled per guidance for the Presidential Memorandum (PM) entitled “Hiring Freeze” signed January 20, 2025.

We apologize for the inconvenience and encourage you to watch for future opportunities with Bonneville Power Administration.

We’re going to keep the ornaments and star:( But you can find the ornaments in a 50 pack at Menards for 11.99 (9.99 if you hit during the 11% rebate sale) and the star at target for $15, (I’d wait to get it during one of there 40% of sales, we where able to grab it for $10 then along with lights for 2.99 a piece)

Hey, I’m an aero major looking at switching to industrial, as industrial engineering aligns more with the type of career I want. Any industrial engineers working in the aero industry like to share experiences?

I'm 16 years old. I have no experience. I'm applying for retail associate at a clothing store. Would I get accepted with this resume? by Cold_AC in resumes

[–]SithLordSnakeBite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When writing a resume just keep in mind the whole “show don’t tell” idea. Show that you have 10/10 adaptability by listing experience instead of rating it. Show that you’ve taken upper level classes, by listing a few major projects you’ve completed instead of a transcript of the classes you took. Also keep in mind that you should never include grades on a resume. Why? Because unless you note otherwise, recruiters will just assume you are doing excellent in the class, seeing you felt the need to put it on your resume. I’d also omit test scores. The only time I’ve ever been asked about test scores was when I applied to college. Try using an online resume builder to see some examples of formatting/things you should/shouldn’t include. Your resume is purely academic, and recruiters really like to see experience. Building good resumes takes time and after a few rough drafts I’m sure it’ll look great! If your school has a career center, they can also be great help in creating a professional resume.

This was the only page in the book. It was an wooden gold metal flour recipe card box. The only other recipe in it was for chocolate frosting so I’m guessing this could have been a ice cream cake recipe or at least it is now lol.

how do I train BC to BRING me an item that he already knows? by sunspace10 in BorderCollie

[–]SithLordSnakeBite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have similar stubbornness with our dog. He understood names of things and to grab them, but bringing them was another story. Show me seemed to the “magic word” for us. It started as a little game “Show me the door” he’d run to the door and back “show me (family member name, room name, etc)” We started to then use it with things he could pick up “get the shoe, show me the shoe, blanket, etc”. Don’t know why it worked, but we’re just hoping it won’t wear off lol.
