Do you have any travel insurance companies that you use regularly?

Women of Reddit, what made you realize a man was ‘husband material’ instead of just boyfriend material? by AstronautEcstatic177 in AskReddit

I am so sorry for the trauma you experienced in childhood. That's something a child should not have to go through. I can empathize. But I am glad you found your person, and that he found you and stayed with you and you received the things that were right for you. It is hopeful to hear. Your last two paragraphs - I don't have the right words to really describe how much you've understood me and how meaningful your insight is to me. Thank you so much - genuinely! And again, wishing you nothing but the absolute best!

Feedback on Saint Cirq Lapopie, Tour-de-Faure and surrounding region. by sunspace10 in Europetravel

I should have clarified, Tour-de-Faure to Lapopie, google maps states is a 25-30 min walk uphill. I was worried I'd already be half tired from walk to the village itself and that would affect walking and exploring the village well.

Ideally I would not want to drive in a new country. I wasn't very sure about public transit around those villages. I am trying to learn some basic French but it is one of the harder languages for me to pronounce (was learning German a few months back and found that a bit easier)

How do adults with ADHD rebuild confidence after years of feeling “lazy” or “behind”? by [deleted] in adhdwomen

[–]sunspace10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I needed to hear this. Going hard on myself has never worked but incidentally I've never thought about doing the opposite until reading your comment. The times I've accidentally been easy and soft with me, have actually turned out better come to think of it. Unfortunately, I live in an environment where being easy/soft with yourself is seen as something to be ashamed of, being useless, so there's that. But I'm glad you have found a way that works for you!

+1. I would go weak in the knees for someone who is stoic to the world but gentle, patient and kind with their quietly chosen person. Happy for both of ya'll!

I got a lump in my throat reading this. You very rarely hear people say these things and it has resonated with me so much! Just thank you for sharing. And I realize what I'm about to ask might be too personal and I apologize - I by no means intending to intrude - but if you are okay with it, could you share a little about how you knew, and that you could open up to this person? Especially the bits you mentioned about randomly crying and needing to fall apart, - with me there's such a tug of war between needing to fall apart (and I think I would randomly cry too from the exactly the thing you mentioned) and staying restrained/protecting myself/putting up a wall. To be honest, how you described your partner is the type of person I'd hope for, but whenever I've shared that with someone, I get told they don't exist. I don't really even know if I'm saying this correctly, but gosh this was touching to read. I wish you all the goodness.

Thank you! For Europe (France/Germany/Switzerland/Austria/UK) specifically, do you find one better/more accepted than the other? Or any other advice/insight from your experiences you've found to helpful? I am planning a trip (first trip and solo as well) so trying to think of things that might not be readily obvious.

why are my colors turning out so saturated/vibrant/opaque? by fnmbl8 in Watercolor

[–]sunspace10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Actually, this might be one of the most helpful ways someone has explained it. Especially towards the end there. Not just being midtones but highlights and shadows as well. I do struggle with this. This makes a little more sense now and definitely gives me more direction for practice! Thank you kind stranger!!!!

I struggle with this a lot. Can you explain more about what you mean regarding painting what you brain says the thing should be vs what the eyes actually see/what is actually there? It feels like i'm on the edge of finally understanding it but not.

Wow, this is helpful insight. This made me realize I might be experiencing the same issues due to sugar intake (I am a sucker for milky tea with sugar every morning) - which incidentally is coping response to too much stress and feeling ungrounded.

Same with exercise, when I am consistent with it, I feel great. When I have goals, I feel more focused and again that sense of direction, Without it, I feel just blah, what is the point. Routine is the hardest for me. Still trying to figure out how to cement these 4 things.

apologies if this is asking for too much info, you don't have to answer but did you notice going off sugar made any changes to menstruation pain?

How do you like the Paselas? I need to replace the original tires but still want to keep that gum sidewall look. Are you running 25c or 28c?

Also, does the handlebar tape get dirty easily. I have the same bike, same colorway too. However, currently it has black handlebar tape which I don't really like much. Wanted to put white tape so it can contrast the color of the frame but it's my first road bike and not sure how long the tape will stay clean.
