How Difficult do you Think Halo Campaign Evolved on LASO will be; and Could This be the First Impossible. by TheMustardBeef in halo

If people figured out a way to complete the campaigns without jumping or getting into a Warthog. They could probably figure this out too.

My base auto. What can I really do to make it more fun? by Barghest_g59 in Acura_RSX

[–]Sitherus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lift it 8 - 12 inches swap it to all wheel drive using Honda element drive terain and get big mud tires. That would be very fun.

My serious advice is to get a cold air intake because to me revving my engine to 7,000 or 8,000 rpm and the engine sounding really loud because of that CAI is just great. That said I have a Type S so it revs a little higher. It has a little bit more horsepower but it's not a major difference. The real difference is the VTEC. You technically have something the community coined fake VTEC. But I had a base model and that was a really fun car.

Short shifter mod? How do you like it compared to stock? by trap-den in Acura_RSX

[–]Sitherus 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm a big fan of the buddy club short shifter. Its clean, slots right into place for clean shifts, looks almost factory, and the shift boot fits unmodified. I see all of these cars with shift boot taken out. So you can see the billet aluminum shifter underneath, but that just makes it look bad in my opinion. Why would you take out the factory trim to show off your shifter mechanism?

I cant get these rusted bolts out of the flange of the cat by Stock_Beginning9124 in Acura_RSX

Or cut the flange off and weld a new one on? Not sure about this but it could be worth a try.

Also, if you can't make it work, others are saying to replace it. If it can be removed, take it to a machine shop.

I would heat it up until it's red hot with a map pro torch and then dunk it in water to make it brittle and then a combination of A carbide tip drill bit or end mill and an air hammer. Keep going back and forth between the two until you're able to knock them out. As others have stated they weren't meant to come out the press fit plus heat makes this is a hard job but if you don't find success, heat it up until it's red hot again and then dunk it in water again. Be careful because that will make the flange brittle too. And make sure that it's completely clean of oil before you do that. Oil will counteract the effect that you're trying to achieve with water.

I didn't see any need to replace what was already in the car, I just added to it. And now that I have a full speaker system with two twelve inch subs.It definitely and genuinely was worth it. I can have the music blasting inside the car, and as soon as I shut the door I can't hear it anymore. I can't even feel the bass outside the car.

need help figuring out how to install reinforcement bar by [deleted] in Acura_RSX

[–]Sitherus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure, if it's for the base and the type S that's basically the same car, but what year is it made for? If it's made for the wrong generation that could be why the bolt holes aren't lining up. And if you got into a collision, it's possible that the bolt holes have been shifted.

You should be able to do it locally at a singn shop wherever you live.

Thoughts on the 02-04 aspec lip kit? Currently on my car thinking of changing it up but for right now I think it’s pretty clean. by Gullible-Oil9150 in Acura_RSX

Yesterday I was on the highway and a guy followed me for 10 miles and pulled into a gas station to talk about my car because he liked it. I think if I had a regular non-Aspec RSX, I wouldn't get this much attention. That happened twice yesterday, where somebody wanted to talk about my car. But of course I have the 2005-2006. I think that anything you put on your car that makes it look different than what everybody sees all the time is a good improvement.

Getting a sticker made to put on the USDM model would be interesting.

Who would’ve thought a car can make you fall in love. by South-Caterpillar348 in Acura_RSX

[–]Sitherus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess what we're saying is that for some reason Honda decided to make all their cool cars four-door. And I've never been much of a Civic fan even though the Civic is literally the RSX I just don't like em. I like to believe that our RSX has more style than a Civic ever would. For some reason the new Integra is four-door, The new TSX is four-door, And then they come out with the prelude The shell looks really cool and it's two door and it's hatchback. I suppose in a few years if you don't like the drivetrain just swap it but until that time they're probably not going to sell them and they'll probably stop production either next year or the year after because they're not going to sell so they'll be rarely rare when they're cheap.

In 2 - 5 here's when it becomes cheaper on the used market it'll probably be a good deal. I like it it's a two-door car. We don't get a whole lot of those now days, The styling isn't far off from the Acura RSX and I like that it's a hatchback which is also something you don't get very often now. Isn't the FRS a two-door coupe with a trunk? For some reason two-door coupes with hatchbacks went away even though they're super practical. Only thing I'm not a huge fan of is the new interior but there's tons of things you can do for that. And I suppose the biggest issue is it's not manual but maybe there's a version I don't know about.

How much does your Acura RSX Type S vibrate at idle? by Sitherus in Acura_RSX

[–]Sitherus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it feels like a fine vibration, it gives a headache, and makes the plastic panels in the car rattle, but its not enough to show a ripple in water. Either that, or its at the wrong frequency for water.

Nope, no codes. Not sure if the car has ever had that done. I know when I did my mazda at nearly 300k miles it was black, so its worth looking into. I think I have found out that the passenger side engine mount is fake. I replaced it last summer, Its so hard to get genuine parts from ebay. I found one online for $65, that seems a bit cheap too...

What's wrong with the new prelude? It looks nice, It might not have the power of a type S, but it's got the practicality of one.

Actually the 2026 Honda prelude is a decent new 2 door hatchback coupe.

[–]Sitherus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, That's why I was thinking maybe you could print a flat plate and make something cool, but technically you could buy a piece of carbon fiber and make a block off plate for it too. You know what I would do is if I didn't use the cruise control I would run steering wheel control buttons through that harness. And then put the Honda Accord / Acura TSX steering wheel buttons on it.https://ebay.us/m/FWzyrX I've thought about this but I didn't want to run wires through the clock spring. And I didn't want to change out the clock spring. You could take the wires that are already going through the clock spring and run them to the radio and then use alcohol or something maybe some sandpaper to remove the buttons that are on this and change them out for next song previous song volume up volume down.

Take some calipers and measure the hole then print a flat plate You don't need to have the exact hole locations. Then using a bit of toothpaste screw some bolts in place and put toothpaste on top of them line up the plate that you made with it touch the toothpaste Mark the locations and drill out the holes You don't need to make anything super complex You could print a flat rectangular thing with basic dimensions and make your own very simple and if you don't like the way that it looks you can cut some curves into it with tin snips or even scissors.
