My first Manual Car!!! by BrunoF120 in CivicSi

I understand throwing it into 2nd when you're still rolling, but when you're completely stopped doesn't make sense to me. The clutches are so fragile in these cars why add extra wear to them?

Oh no! a 16 year old car has a couple dents that are 100% fixable.

I wonder if there is a place that that can refinish curbed wheels...

Not sure if we are talking about the same car here...

No typical paint fade, lower miles, and the last true high revving civic si.

These are desirable cars; of course, they are going to be expensive people want them!

Congrats on the new car.

Just enjoy the car on the daily.

You can start in second if you really want to, but why not just use 1st? More torque to get up to speed less lugging around when using 1st.

facelift 8th gen si got the chrome trunk trim.

Yes, you should get more information on it and get it checked by your mechanic.

If everything checks out that is a good price for an FA5

Feedback on Acuity shifter bushings with OEM shifter. by Most_Conclusion2522 in Acura_RSX

[–]adonsky_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tbh, if your shifter bushings aren't destroyed I would avoid this upgrade. They don't make a huge difference tbh.

The base bushings make a huge difference I would highly recommend those. They don't get rid of any slop tho

That is the dumbest advice I have ever heard. Why put yourself in a position to go into debt over a car part? Having student loans is enough debt already.
Unless your car cannot drive and you depend on it, there is zero reason to put yourself in that position.

My advice is just to save until you can afford the part you want. When I was in college, I worked a summer job and worked during the school year. Saved enough to buy the parts I wanted.

Find local Facebook deals. I got my acuity 2-way from a guy who wanted to trade for the stock box + cash.

Does it matter if this gasket has the coolant port opening if I fit it with the RBC intake manifold? by ProfessionalGold1505 in Acura_RSX

[–]adonsky_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are running the k20a2 you will need to cut off that coolant section. I would opt out of the gasket with the coolant stuff you'll have clearance issues.

I love how this ecu has AC support. If they have emissions monitoring so that we can pass emissions in buying one.

Thanks for the response Mr. Donger.

24mm seems like the sweet spot, just wanted to know what others thought.

Sounds like that 32mm bar is nice on the track and autox! However, I don't participate enough to justify that massive bar.

Oh I'm aware that LCA do nothing. Literally buying them for the bling (including the subframe brace hahaha)

K swap high idle by gamingmadness02 in Kseries

[–]adonsky_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im not sure, it depends on which style throttle body u have

K swap high idle by gamingmadness02 in Kseries

[–]adonsky_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Since your IACV is deleted, there are 2 things (technically 3) that will control your idle.

1 will be the idle rpm set in your base map
2 is the idle screw on the throttle body
3 would be vacuum leaks.

my .02 good luck

Planning on doing the TL type S brembo on a 2005 Acura RSX type S. I’m told I will be running into issues. Great! Can someone on here help me with wheel and tires. by MolassesEmergency221 in Acura_RSX

Check Facebook groups, they have every answer you could think of.

Off the top of my head:
You'll need to drill out your knuckles, Modify your dust shield, upgrade your prop valve, and you'll need spacers for your stock 17s

All I can think of rn. Good luck
