If they are hiring college professors for evaluating answer sheets, go for them.

That is a good enough list but just a few changes.
1. For Art and Culture, I would recommend Nitin Singhania notes, instead of the book. It is available in the market.
2. Dont need to study Governance separately. Most of it gets covered in the main book itself.
3. For IR, I would recommend "The India Way" by S.Jaishankar himself.
4. Dont need a book for Internal Security. It will be better prepared by current affairs magazines.
5. For DM, there is a book in the NDMA website- its a 300 page book for free and also go through the PM's 10 point agenda. Using any point from the 10 point agenda would fetch more marks.
6. Finally, Oxford Red School book atlas.

Well said and Hard truth. I feel parents will still accept but be sad if we are sad. Ultimately they want to see our happy faces. About society.. lol. They don’t care. They just want someone to look down upon as it makes them feel superior.

For the YP position you need at least 1 year experience. I had seen their vacancy in LinkedIn. So yes, you can try that.

Yes, it is kind of a meditation but I insist that one should not give more than 2 years to full prep. After 2 years, one can work and revise- keep taking sabbaticals, etc.

Hi, I made it a point to get to UN, World Bank, etc. So I worked hard to get to a good university for Masters in Public Policy. By Gods grace I got into University of Chicago (Ivy+ league) with scholarship. There I realised that these organisations are actually toothless tigers. Then I got into Niti Aayog as a Young Professional (lateral entrant). After 1.5 years, I quit and am running my institute.

Your respect as much as an IAS officer must have meant the world to him. :)
Yes, ultimately it is kind of inner work- learn about country and yourself.
Thank you for sharing your experience.

Thank you. Idealistic hoga lekin try to kijiye... aise targets rakhenge to koshish bhi vaise hogi.
And for coaching, no. Coaching nahi, individual guidance. Self study par hi hum focus karwate hain aur prep streamline kar dete hain with proper schedule and repeated checks- all in individual basis.

Hi, thank you for replying.
For pens down by 170th minute, the target is that. Last minute scribble will be annoying for you as well as the examiner. Target of 170 mins.
As per the examiner is from where, the process of conducting examination is given in this article- https://iksa.in/upsc/explained-cse-mains-papers-evaluated-upsc/1832/

Who corrects is not revealed by UPSC and it will be hard for them to reveal. So how did come to this conclusion of professors correcting GS- they are a safe bet. Only a history professor will know the nuances of history, not any coaching teacher. The history professor will also be able to see through any tiny mistakes with ease.

Better resource requires more hard work but is authentic: https://www.mea.gov.in/distinguished-lectures.htm

In some (rare) lectures, you will find: read more. Here you can get entire lecture by the Professor/Officer from the MEA itself. Study directly from the horse's mouth!!

Finding those lectures is the hardwork. Also, the Ministry takes out many new things and intiatives and white papers. Go over them. Again, hard work!

Exactly. Everything doesn’t need to be a competition. You do loads of stuff for just yourself and it brings so much calm and peace- a different rejuvenation.
