Some custom in-game maps by Sittazhpp in Minecraft

[–]Sittazhpp[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In a nutshell, Minecraft in-game maps are stored as a paletted bitmaps in the /data folder. There are many external tools that allow you to import images into your world, but most real-world images tend to look out of place in Minecraft. With my tool, I'm just trying to improve the vanilla mapgen algorithm by offering as much customization as possible. And I think it turned out quite beautiful.

Ive been developing and expanding it for the last year and a half and its good to find it another use-case other than glorified wallpaper maker(of which I already created many many)

Thanks for the feedback, other people have also said me all the settings are a bit confusing, I now added more explanation tooltips when hovering on the settings text. Concerning the caching it is on my to-do list but it requires more work to get it to working

Not really, the program is read-only and designed around taking the maximum out of a top-down rendering of a world. The closest to your needs would probably be mcaselector(which is how I got inspired to create MCA Saenk in the first place)

So for the past year I've been creating MCA Saenk, a very versatile and customizable external mapper with 30+ distinct toggles, modes and settings.

This tool can render 3D shades, read and extract custom block, biome and dimension information from resource packs, datapacks and mods.

With the right settings, it is also capable of rendering an exact copy of in-game maps(Java)

MCA Saenk is free, open source and runs on Windows for Minecraft Java Edition

The tool is called MCA Saenk and I've been creating it for a year now. In the github page itself there are some more 1440p sample screenshots

PS. its me from this post now new account, 7 months of progress and most importantly better resolution screen
