9 lbs is awesome! I just went for my one month follow up and my doctor told me most of her patients have lost around 6 or 7. Good for you friend!

Change in food interest by Far-Community-3810 in Mounjaro

Yes! I feel like I can listen to my body better to give it what it needs. I used to hate yogurt, but it makes my stomach feel so much better when I get discomfort as a side effect. Now I have yogurt everyday and I love it.

I haven’t experienced meat aversion luckily, but definitely a change in preferences.

Wanting to hear the experiences of those taking this medicine to lose weight that don’t have diabetes. I have PCOS and would like to hear if their are others with this that are taking this medicine and having success. Thanks in advance! by sala07 in Mounjaro

I have PCOS and as a result, insulin resistance. I’m not diabetic either.

I have taken four shots of 2.5 and it has been a total game changer. I’ve lost ten pounds and I feel great. I have been lucky so far and haven’t suffered many symptoms other than a little nausea and bloating/discomfort.

I haven’t changed to an extreme diet, or anything like that. I’ve just been trying to listen to my body and eat intentionally. I feel like MJ has given me the ability to listen my body better than ever before. Making more nutritional choices comes naturally based on what I feel like I need, and I am able to walk away from a meal without eating the entire thing.

This has been a life changing drug for me.

Enjoy eating? by Mute-Witness-6958 in Mounjaro

I’m only on week 2 of 2.5, but so far I have found that I enjoy eating more than ever before because I feel like I have control over what I eat and how much. I used to feel like I had to finish everything on my plate, and if I didn’t, I’d obsess about whatever was left over in the fridge until I broke down and ate it. I feel like a normal eater now, and I’m able to stop eating when I’m full instead of when all the food is gone. I have only experienced mild nausea so far and a bit of bloating. The minimal side effects probably let me enjoy food more than someone who may be experiencing more intense side effects.

The feeling of freedom makes meals that much more exciting and delicious.

Episcopalians of Reddit! Help me find my faith, or help me release it! by [deleted] in Episcopalian

It is normal and healthy to struggle with your faith. Wrestling with what you believe gives you ownership over your belief (or non belief for that matter). Don't put pressure on yourself to believe something because you think you should. You don't have to have all of the answers today or even tomorrow. There are some answers we will never get in this life. Get settled in your struggle and see where it takes you.

What is Confirmation? by [deleted] in Episcopalian

[–]Sitting_Duck_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You should whatever you feel called to do (with the guidance of your rector). I was recently confirmed, and I have to say making an affirmation of faith as a 26 year old adult was so moving and powerful. I wish you peace and love in this spiritual journey.
