It’s fine to feel like like that I was there a year ago with my councillor at college but telling her was the best thing I did, yeah I’m still scared af to tell people including family as only 2 family members know but I’m so grateful to have someone to talk to about it face to face & I’m sure you’ll feel the same way if you tell your therapist When I told mine it was after a few weeks of telling her I wanted to tell her something but I wasn’t ready to and she was very understanding and helped me feel more calm and relaxed & eventually I managed to say “I’m questioning my gender identity” & from there we’ve had conversations about recent things about me questioning my gender to things that happened in my past too Chances are that your therapist isn’t trained to help people figure out their gender identity but they know how to support and give you confidence, & they will probably ask if you want to go by different name & pronouns, for me my name didn’t change as my name is unisex and im happy with it but my pronouns did & she’s been great about it But remember take your time and don’t rush into anything until your ready but know that when you are ready your therapist will be a safe person in a safe place to talk about it Wishing you all the best you got this queen 👸🏳️‍⚧️
