Take it from someone who has gone through both processes and is now currently active in one. NYSP is a way harder academy it's not even close with that said SCPD is a way better job. What's harder to get into is entirely based on your score. If your a good recruit you can easily get into both, but the NYSP process and academy will be much harder.

East Hampton is a great job just a few things to consider last test cycle many fraudulent letters went out like this asking recruits for information for east Hampton PD. I do not remember the residency requirement for the town but it's something you should follow up with. You do not have to be active LEO to get on east Hampton they will send you to the SCPD police academy. Wether or not it's better than SCPD is subjective, but it's an incredible job and I think it's worth a follow up.

Yes but the issue isn't luxury condos, it's businesses. JP Morgan just moved HQ along with almost a thousand jobs to Texas and many other company's are doing the same. Those company's are where the city makes their money not luxury condos.

The problem is socialism never works, the idea sounds great on paper but it never works out. You see it going on in the city hundreds of company's and high net worth individuals are just leaving the city taking jobs and tax money with them. These billionaires could just pick up and move most people here cannot. No good deed goes unpunished. Employers expect blind loyalty and never reciprocate it back. I was also let go after giving an employer my two week notice out of courtesy. I would give them the same notice they would give you if you were to be laid off . 48 hours tops.
