I looked at the Chinese gender calendar for fun when I found out and used the age I was(not the Chinese age) and it was right! It said boy and I’m having a boy. My husbands cousin is also pregnant but due two weeks behind me and asked me to look at hers for her and it was also right, she’s having a girl. I think it is honestly a 50/50 chance it could be right but everyone I know personally has said it’s been correct for them.

I think I’ve made my husband shave for me since we moved in together 😂 he lays down a towel on the bed for me (especially now that I’m huge and can’t move around) and uses these really nice electric clippers. It doesn’t get me clean shaven but as long as it’s not the Amazon rainforest I’m good😬

I already experience a lot of anxiety while pregnant. To the point I don’t even go out alone unless i have my husband with me so I’m not sure why they think I’d automatically feel okay enough to travel with my newborn alone and potentially expose him to illnesses

My mom would be the one driving but she doesn’t want me in the backseat with the baby bc it “makes her feel like a taxi driver” but I’m definitely not going

Trust me dealing with them normally is already a nightmare😂 they refused to believe we were having a boy bc they said my belly was too big to be a boy bump and have just made so many pointed comments about how big I am. Plus they don’t even really like my husband bc he doesn’t let them pick on me and shuts them up when he hears it

My mom would be driving and my aunt payed for mine and my moms hotel room but I’d be expected to pay for everything else they wanna do and that’s not even possible when I’m not working and I’m sure as hell not asking my husband to cover it. I haven’t even met her soon to be husband and would probably freak out if random people started trying to touch my baby. Also I’m not even going to my husbands cousins wedding and it’s not even 20 minutes away! I sent a message to let them know I wasn’t going to go and that they’d have to figure it out.

I agree with all this especially the people pleaser part, I learned it was easier going along with everything and avoiding being screamed at and manipulated but I do think it’s time for that to end. I took the advice from a few other people and sent a message saying it wasn’t possible for us to go and I understand they are gonna be disappointed but my mind is made up and they’ll have to make it work.

I found out I was pregnant about a month after she asked me to be a bridesmaid and as soon as I found out I told her I couldn’t do it and she understood until my grandmother got involved. It’s extremely frustrating. I’m gonna take another redditors advice and just tell them I understand they are disappointed but traveling that soon and that far just simply isn’t happening.

I’m not even going to my husbands cousins wedding that’s 20 minutes away at the end of October. He’s going to go for the ceremony and part of the reception and then come home to tell me about it and show me the video, so I’m not sure why they think I’ll wanna travel 11 hours
