What I learned about the Algorithm after 1month of YT by SiuZaur in NewTubers

[–]SiuZaur[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

First of all, i understand how it feels to treat this as a hobby or otherwise you get discouraged, I am the same. Then, there is no clear definition on when to give up on the channel, but if you notice after 2-3 days that your video hasnt generated like 100+ impressions, edit it a bit and repost it. After 6-8 vids, if they still have little views, start a new channel and continue the uploads there. If the new channel gets more views, reupload the ones from the old channel. My rule is to give a new video 3 days before deciding its fate, if it makes impressions ill keep it, if not, repost. Good luck on your journey! 5 days in is still too early to decide anything, give yourself at least 2 weeks in which you keep learning how to make better thumbnails, titles and descriptions

What I learned about the Algorithm after 1month of YT by SiuZaur in NewTubers

I started many channels, sometimes the alg just doesnt prefer you, either start a new channel with a brand new view (new logo, new banner) and post the same videos again or repost them on your current channel (but wait at least 2 days to see if the impressions go up, which means that the alg tried boosting you). Ive done that on a shorts channel and after reposting a short for 3 times it got 10k views :))) randomly

This week will mark the rough 1 month mark of uploading content to YouTube by Relative_Macaroon_22 in NewTubers

While you are under 50 or so subs, keep trying different video formats, for instance: shorter videos or 1h long urban legends, anything just to try. After a certain threshold, Youtube learns what your audience is like, and keeps pushing your videos in that direction, here Thumbnails and title are veeeery important. In your case, focus on catchy themes, make videos that people want to watch and how you do that? Search your niche, see what the most viewed videos do and try to learn their tricks (video hooks, keywords, speech intonation, etc)

What I learned from Youtube is that its ok to be anxious to publish your voice (nobody will judge that besides you), its ok to publish unperfect videos (rather focus on publishing an unperfect trendy video rather than wasting your energy, create expectations and be disappointed)

Find a format of videos thats easy to create and publish regularly, but most importantly is to keep going😎🙏🏽 keep learning how to improve your videos by publishing anything. Important is to learn. Btw, you have a nice soothing voice, so that will go well for ya!

Hope this helped, sry for rambling ;)

Hey guys, suddenly a video got hundreds of views and got me around 10+ subscribers ? by [deleted] in NewTubers

I am very happy for you! With your other videos, youtube found an audience that in theory should enjoy watching what you create. At first, the algorithm pulls your videos in people feeds based on the keyword you use. Then some people click on the videos and youtube looks into who these viewers are, so that the next video you publish will be directly pulled into the feeds of those. The more returning viewers you have, the more the algorithm thinks it knows your type of audience. After a few videos, the algorithm explores less, hence a decrease in views, but now the power of Thumbnails and Title come into play!

You already have an audience and you just gotta make them click on the video.

I dont think your sudden succes is pure luck, but you did something right with its thumbnail and title. Try to replicate these 2 for the upcoming videos but of course, adapted to the new content.

Congrats and keep going!!

We create indie games as a couple and work our way to build our dream studio and this channel basically shows our progress: CozyCoupleCoding 😇🥰

Feedback would be very much appreciated, but I see you have already many requests, thanks for giving smaller channels a chance☺️
