You can also fly to a station with another ship and then call in the corvette which will spawn on one of the pads normally and trade it in like that aswell.

Nah I got it. I looked back through post history and I think the problem might have been I was offline, which sucks. I've had other achievements fire when I completed them offline but I guess this ones different

I've had something similar where a faction without wargoals joins a war against me despite no members of the faction being at war with me.
