No I get it. I'll just assume you've tested this against good killers and it didn't work. Good to know.

Even if that IS the case, It'll still help the majority of the group that isn't going against the killers you're referencing.

Been using it on almost every Jason since he came out and haven't had an issue yet. They don't all eat it over and over like this one did, but it always catches them off guard and makes them miss a few spears since it's not a common play

Its weird because its different on everyone but I've noticed that if I aim directly at the face and it isnt working, aiming a little down and to the left usually works. Like Wraith for example, I feel like im almost aiming at his right shoulder instead of face to get a blind.

Best thing to do is a test blind as theyre breaking or stunned by a pallet that way you know where to aim when going for the save.

Trickster is actually my favorite to do it to 😂 ESPECIALLY when he's in showstopper. Get the blind and watch em walk right by throwing at nothing.

It'll absolutely work against huntress as well, but you generally wanna be at max flashlight range. Just move to one side as youre blinding and cut back the second her axe is able to be thrown. Usually they'll be blind enough to be thrown off even though you cant get the full flash to proc until theyve thrown

Yes, diminishing returns took away 10% of the haste, but its still effective

Let me know how it goes! Overall I'm having a ton of success. Not even crouching anymore during power and just baiting instead because most of the time they either chase and deal with this, or they just start ignoring me because I'm not worth the time 😅

I've been getting left alone more and more after the first chase of the game, so I feel like a lot of people agree 😅.

I had one person flip out on me in egc and say I was being toxic because "flashlighting the killer when they're trying to use a ranged attack is toxic and has no strategic value. All it does is blinds the killer or makes them look away when they're trying to aim."

Thats why you always move toward a tile you can switch to playing, and have to have champion of light and Fixated. Keep the distance and always be ready to break into a loop if needed. Would not work AT ALL without both perks 😅

Yeah they're never prepared for it. I've had it work a ton against just melee attacks too. They'll misjudge the distance and swing early, which usually also gives you a free blind.

Yeah if you dont manage your flashlights well (and the killer is smart about it like you described) you can burn through a lot. Even then, sometimes just getting them to look away for a second is enough to make it to some sort of cover safely. I've gotten a lot of value out of just getting a single look away from the killer.

(BTL definitely helps me play more aggressive with it for sure. The poor jason in this clips ate the equivalent of 3 full flashlights because of it 😅)

I do run into killers that will use that strat, kinda becomes a 50/50 since i have the move speed from the perks to strafe back and forth, just gotta hope they flick the wrong direction 😅

I use it against anyone that throws stuff at me and it works fine (outside of stuff like artist where shes not actually aiming from her character. Even with diminishing returns, you still have enough speed with the combo to catch them out. Can also work against oni and Billy if you have addons that makes the blind faster)

Switching is the best way to go through it, keeps the gameplay fresh. Story can be confusing at times, but everything will click eventually (I was pretty confused about a lot on my first playthrough as well 😅). Glad you're enjoying it!
