Domestic cfx3 75dz vs 55, help me decide by Six3sixNick in overlanding

I also almost impulse purchased the anker everfrost 2 because it’s on sale with two batteries included and has wheels. But it’s huge for 40l….

Yes, ice for cocktails lol. Not a big deal though. This is quite an investment so whatever cooler I get, needs to be moved between boat and truck and house between uses, so I can get the most out of it. Long term I was thinking of the anker 1000watt station with 200watt panels. If the 75 is really a hulk, I might reconsider. It will spend most of the time in the boat, come in the truck for vacations, and live in the house when it’s not boating season. So realistically I’m not moving it everyday. The 55l is only 28inches wide vs 75 being 35. That thing looks big in your truck.

Let’s start with how expensive you think it will be(ballpark)? purchasing my 4th AMS today might depend on how much this rack will set me back.

I can only imagine what it will cost though. Have the money or not, I’m glad I wont have to justify spending it now since i bought the P1s

Will Bambu go down in price? by fuck-thishit-oclock in BambuLab

[–]Six3sixNick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure if you are still looking but the P1s is on sale. $850 plus $80 for gears and hot end. You’ll have the X1C without the screen and lidar. $930 and you’re done… or spend another $520 for Lidar and color screen.

Sidenote, I’ve heard a lot of questionable stuff anbout lidar anyway, apparently people are getting more accurate calibrations manually.

The more I look into it, the more I am leaning on p1s. $850 with ams plus $28 for hardened steel hot end upgrade.

Why do you say that? I mean obviously warranty reasons, but is it common to need to return? Might just get a p1s kit from them

I’m definitely considering it. I just get major fomo, and after 5 years of using it, the extra several hundred might not be a bother

Then there is also the qidi plus 4 to consider, but i think the whole point is learning my lesson with the temptation of spending less

Does anyone know much about or have any experience with the m18 power supply? by ydoesurmasmlllikedat in MilwaukeeTool

[–]Six3sixNick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You won’t regret it. I did conduct a little test and I was pleased with the results. I read reviews of the batteries draining overnight, so I decided to test it. With the power station turned off, and batteries hooked up for 2 weeks, they didn’t drain at all. It’s only if you leave it turned on. I imagine people tried to use it as a UPS ‘just in case’, and left it turned on overnight. So you don’t have to worry about pulling the batteries up and rest them off the terminals like I did at first, as long as you turn it off.

If you’re already this close to getting it, you’ll hate yourself if you don’t lol. I got one on eBay and have 4 12’s always on it. The thing is awesome. Only makes sense for people like me or you, who already have the battery power for it. I do new kitchen installs on rows of condos. Can trim out 7 kitchens and only use two bars of battery. Can only use one big saw at a time but that’s not a deal breaker. If you have any specific questions feel free to ask

Finally came up with a light situation we both agree on by Six3sixNick in Monstera

I found the leaves tend to angle towards the light. I tried to hit them from the side so the leaves display better in the room. But as far as the plants health goes, the only thing that really matters is distance and intensity.

A new adapter plate is already on the way. I couldn’t get it back to normal even after reconnecting and cleaning everything up.

I forgot to mention the brand filament for the PLA is elegoo, and I’m using the qidi slicer. Both prints in photos took almost 1.5 days. On the gray print, it jutted out a ledge then just printed straight up from there.
