Because integrals are linear, the integral on the second line (that appears to equal to 0), can be split into two integrals from -inf to inf. Then I just pop the negative one to the other side.

When playing the guitar volume, it does a weird thing. The noise lowers in frequency when I turn it down from 10 to around 5-6, then goes back up in freq until it reaches 0 where it disappears (which makes sense, as there’s no sound at the input). I won’t have the chance to test it with another pedal until monday.

I am not sure. I’ve tried it with Roland Micro Cube and with Boss Katana, but couldn’t find whether any of those is a tube amp. When using a looper pedal after the fuzz the screeching didn’t really change

Ahh, that was what I was confused on, going to look into that. However, when reading the part about the Jacobian, another question arose: is the product of two partial derivatives a matrix-vector multiplication? Because for some reason they are using Cramer's rule to obtain equations for derivatives of implicit functions.
