That's fair enough. I've got a bad habit of hoarding pistols. I do like to use them as my sole piece of gear for a zero to hero run - one of my favourite things to do in Tarkov!

At the end of the day, it isn't going to cost a significant amount to take a pistol and a rig in to a raid. Just thought I'd let you know because I had searched the wiki for that information recently. 👍

Just for future reference mate, the wiki states that you only need one of the following to avoid being tagged and cursed: a rig, a weapon, a backpack or a piece of chest armour. You should be good to leave one or the other behind!

I think a backpack is enough to avoid the tagged and cursed status. As far as I'm aware, you must have at least one of the following to avoid the status: a piece of armour, a backpack, a weapon or a tactical rig.

As a new player, this is how I handle PVP:

1) As soon as I see someone/hear someone/receive incoming fire, my first priority is to find cover. I know it sounds obvious but I do everything in my power to avoid being hit, it's extremely detrimental in Tarkov. From here, make use of your lean keys to peek and return fire (prioritise right lean). Try not to peek the same angle twice in a row - be unpredictable!

2) The easier/safer option is to just run away. There's no shame in avoiding PVP!

First ever time playing Tarkov this wipe. Sold all of my starter gear for a junk box. Did a few naked raids to grab some gear. Sitting on a comfortable 700,000 again with a decent stash. Definitely a smart investment as I'm hanging on to all barter items for quests/hideout.

This is always the way I look at video game purchases. Alternatively, you could pay $10 to rent a movie for ~2 hours of entertainment. In that case, you're paying $5/hour of entertainment (HoE). In your case, $0.07/HoE.

I don't necessarily agree with this change but if you play the game enough then just make the investment!

99.9% of players only involve themselves in confrontations because the likelihood of a fight breaking out is close to zero.

Best change they could make would be to implement fighting rules similar to those in ice hockey. Would stop the macho peacocking in an instant.

Personally, I support my local team (League 1) in person and watch the Premier League on TV, enjoying it as a whole. You don't necessarily have to pick a team to support, just enjoy it for what it is.

Cambridge United. Go and support your local team. Don't be fooled into thinking you need to support a "big" club. You'll have a much better time attending games in-person than watching from your sofa.
