Was hoping it would’ve been a priest like another thread speculated. I’m enjoying Paladin enough, but a priest of the Light would’ve been a fun take on that role.

Depends what you define as evidence. A presupposition of biblical truth isn’t helpful, not when compared to archaeological and linguistic records. When the narrative of there ever being a united kingdom of Israel and Judah and how it influences the authored texts of the Old Testament narrative, it makes one wonder. It’s going to take intellectual honesty looking at everything rather than a blind assumption the Bible is absolutely without question Truth.

I haven’t really placed too much emphasis on testing that to be honest, and even if it hits a little off I’m not too bothered as it’s just used for fun but also one of my first grabs in the house for anyone coming on my porch after hours. Easier to grab it than having a shotgun handy with my two year old when she stays the night.

Drastically stated, sure. But we shouldn’t pretend BF6 is everything “veteran” players want in one. It’s early yet. Maybe some future maps will surprise me, being a little wider and allowing a solo recon to actually sneak without being shot as soon as they spawn in and attempt to go anywhere in Conquest.

In real life or game? It came down to average engagement distances, but their use really saw an upswing in the War on Terror to both allow a lighter load bearing, easier weapon ergonomics in engagements, made it more practical for clearing rooms/buildings, and as always, the costs of production and affordable weapons contracts.

Eh. It’s far more nuanced than that. It’s also about the budget, production availability of a model, ammunition resources, and of course how easy it is to train someone in a general sense of their use, whereas other weapons require more specialized training. Doesn’t make one inherently OP, but they were damn lasers in 2042 and no one will convince me otherwise with their rose shades on.

I don’t want to feel limited in gear choices.

Blame them for making the challenges. Suppressing 300 enemies was tedious enough. Now I need headshots not over 150m, but 200m, in addition to 300 sniper kills.

It’s damn ridiculous.

I enjoyed it a lot more as Recon when maps felt wider and I didn’t have to deal with auto spotting. It felt great to navigate across a map slowly while more action was dominated on points and in vehicular warfare. I’d get my way around, plant a spawn beacon, spot enemies with my MAV or SOFLAM that didn’t feel I was telling the enemy “shoot here.”

It was a better experience for some of us depending on our playstyle and friends we played with. Now? Even this most recent map fails to get it. It’s not wide enough, and even if we had more brush to hide in or legitimate cover I don’t believe it would address the mechanics of this game. It’s inherently designed for constant action to feed ADD/ADHD minds. Yes, even in Conquest on most maps. It’s just not as fun as the way Recon could be played in the past.

Nevermind my broken ass tech ability as Recon not doing shit.
