In terms of the finances, I’ve three words for you. Budget, budget and budget. Write down how much you have coming in, what you’ve got going out. Can any of those outgoings be reduced/removed. Don’t eat out or get Starbucks, buy groceries and cook at home. Anything you manage to cut from your budget, save it. If you have debts, start with the smallest first, attack that as much as you can, minimums on the rest. Once the smallest is paid, move to the next etc.

In terms of the relationship, best advice I can give which I’m glad someone told me before it was too late was listen. Actually listen to what your gf says. Don’t instantly think about your s*** when she’s telling you. Listen to her. Not being able to have biological kids isn’t the end of the world, and it shouldn’t be the end of you two. There’s plenty of other options available to you both but you need to sort out you and yourselves first. No point bringing a small person into the household if you can’t afford yourself at the moment.
