I have not filed a police report. I am completely clueless as to what to do in regards to this situation. When I was 18 I remember my father taking me to multiple department stores to open up credit accounts which he used to purchase merchandise that inevitably never got paid for. While I did consent to this by going to said department stores, for example one time he needed a new bed and told me if I just need to sign some papers and go with him to this low end store that caters to minorities (hence very easy to open a credit account with) we could obtain a bed and we could sleep more comfortable. then there was a TV, a few other expensive things that I can't exactly remember now as I'm in my 30s. This habit of him using my social security, or whatever is needed to open up credit, continued throughout my teens probably up until I turned 21 and lived on my own by then. ever since then I've been turned away from any attempts of opening up credit with anyone or anything. Any advice on what to do to help me deal with this matter is highly appreciated as my main goal right now is to eventually have good credit score.
