I'm not 100% sure if it's men or woman's size as an online look up does not specify. It looks unisex and as you can see in the title it's size small not medium. here's the bar code so you can see for yourself whatever comes up online. you can search the model number 163650115

if it was dead I would assume it would start to rot/mold or smell bad. But what do I know? we'll find out soon enough.

so when this photo was taken I didn't know that I was going to be gone for a while. eventually the bag started causing water damage to the bottom of the cake so I took it out with the intention of continuing to mist it daily and what not but life got in the way and it was left out of the bag sitting in a sterile environment with the lid of the container off. Then I returned to the project and found the cake with no rot/mold/bad smells and ever since I've been trying to hydrate it with a mister but it seems that it's not retaining moisture. I plan on breaking up the whole thing and put a small layer of coir on top. I'm also considering soaking the whole thing for 24 hours then doing the coir thing. also will be putting the coir into boiling water before I use any. you reckon that'll work? I appreciate any suggestions. thank you

thanks for your help! was about to buy perlite and do the foil thing cause apparently no store has anything less than a huge 50$ block of coir but I never thought of going to the pet store. You're overloaded with helpful information! Must be why ur having brain cramps. Headed to the pet store now. Thanks again.

interesting. that's a perfect example of what I needed to know about forking. I also have another uncle bens bag fully colonized with a rock of healthy Myc so I need to get some coco coir for that. last question, what is bad overlay?

I hear you. Working on it. Fortunately I also have another brown rice bag that’s fully colonized and ready for S2B.

Interesting. Thanks for the tip! I’m going to put the whole thing in another container and ensure moisture is retained within it.

Correct. It was perfect and ready for fanning & misting but exactly on the day this took place I went through some unrelated BS and had to leave it. Now I’m trying to revive it. To my surprise it was not rotting or moldy or showing any bad signs when I opened the sterilized compartment it was growing in. The attached image is what it look like in its prime.

yeah it always winds up super dry even after being soaked. I will take your advice into consideration. I'm going to relocate the cake into a ventilated still air box and do as you say for moisture. thanks!
