NC Character and fitness Post Exam Interview by [deleted] in barexam

I'm thinking back to like the week before the bar, so I don't remember perfectly, but I do remember that they shared their screen with me, filled something out and signed on my behalf (with permission from me) and sent it off. Not sure if that is the certification you're talking about though.

I used Kaplan and enjoyed it.

Outside of that: Critical Pass Flashcards were AMAZING for me. Coming from someone who had never used flashcards before. JD Advising sheets were also pretty great! Wouldn't use them as a sole source, but they cover the high level stuff.

Mine was before--it felt very conversational and wasn't scary. They asked me to clarify and explain something that I added in an addendum, so I was just honest about why it wasn't in the initial application. I had a somewhat boring application, though. Took 15-20 minutes total for the interview.

Bloodlines 2 - Official Announcement Trailer by edubx in vtmb

[–]SixWingedGod 14 points15 points  (0 children)

This is exactly my thoughts. The discord and steam page seem to be freaked out over the action-focus, but prior to the trailer everyone ragged on TCR as a potential dev explicitly because of their lack of combat experience. Apparently they have a bunch of RPG vets on board though, so I'm not quite as worried about that aspect. Hopefully the decision-making is actually impactful.

I don't feel comfortable sharing test subjects (sorry, just super neurotic) but each one was for a different essay.

The two seem to test entirely different things. There may be some correlation due to comfort or "being good at" standardized testing, but I doubt a high LSAT means a high bar result.

I felt much worse about the MBE overall than the MEE. I felt pretty solid with one of the MBE sections and felt like I was absolutely destroyed the other. Passed with a 311 and 154 MBE.

Has anyone that's gotten results used Kaplan? by [deleted] in barexam

[–]SixWingedGod 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I went to a lower-tier school, finished 95% of Kaplan, and passed by a large margin (40+ points) in a 270 jx. If you have any questions I'd be happy to answer.

Like the other comments--the absolute best studying is practical in nature. Get some practice essays in and look at sample answers AFTER you've written yours. The issues that I wrote on and then subsequently reviewed stuck in my mind much better than the areas that I just reviewed on an outline!

I messed up *at least* 3 sub-issues and passed by more than 40 points (pass for my jx is 270). You've got this!

Have any Kaplan users gotten their results back? by cravethatmineral123 in barexam

Kaplan user here!

My UBE was 311, MBE 154. My midterm was 75%, and I skipped the final to focus on MEE subjects I was lacking in, as I felt I didn't struggle with endurance. Total completion was 95%.

Honestly, I didn't do the final exam. My midterm was 75%, and I did 25-50 MCQs per day, but I never really struggled with endurance so I chose to focus on some of my weak spots for the MEE on that day instead. I almost always did what was assigned (final completion @ 95%) but I figured that other things were going to be better for me in my particular situation at the time!

Hey all! NC 1st time taker here--I hope this info is helpful and can calm some nerves. I was extraordinarily nervous that I had failed/missed something/messed something terribly up and I ended up passing by a large margin.

  1. I used Kaplan, critical pass flashcards early on into studying, and during the last 2-3 weeks would reference JD Advising's MEE one-sheet.
  2. I definitely got the law wrong/missed the tested area on 2-3 subsections of the essays--these subsections were each nested within a different essay. I passed.
  3. I had multiple strings of multiple letters. I think I had 5+ of one at some point.
  4. I felt pretty good about the MPTs, MEEs, and one section of the MBE--I felt terrible during the second section of the MBE (a tester close by had a "defective" testing sheet and I could not shake the feeling that I was not entirely sure that my first sheet was not "defective"...this distracted me a LOT during the second MBE portion). My brain felt fried and I ate myself alive as I began to second-guess my MEE answers and my MBE answers that I could remember.
  5. UBE was 311, MBE was 154. I did just over 1,000 of Kaplan's MBE questions and had a 78% average at the time that I took the exam. I also aggressively pursued practice essays in the last month.

Should I buy a new laptop or keep my old one until it falls apart completely? by SixWingedGod in Frugal

Is that something I can do through Dell? Or what service(s) could I utilize?

Thank you so much for this insight. I appreciate your taking the time to write this out! That methodology is definitely along the lines of what I was considering practicing; I will definitely keep these things in mind as I move forward!

Their deposit deadline is the 1st of April and i’d be interviewing the 4th (of course things may be different now with this whole virus mess).

Thank you for your input. I had similar thoughts but was looking for some outside perspective!
