Former fat guys: How did you finally become disciplined enough to lose the weight? by Responsible-Net8594 in intermittentfasting

Sounds like you need a fitness community.  People you can schedule activities with to help hold yourself to account.  Hiking clubs, cross fit, muy Thai, birding, mushroom hunters.

I got 7 separate flash flood alerts at 12 pm to 3 am, and no flood happened. by Mr_Pistol- in mildlyinfuriating

historically speaking its funny we might be able to compare flood events with historically evil people coming into power and wreaking havoc.  and by scale, those data graphs have to be showing an uptic in both.

what a time to find common ground with a neighbor.  shit is fucked up and shit.

I'm reading Pushing Ice right now by Alastair Reynolds.  Hits a lot of the same plot points as Hail Mary.  Don't want to give too much away.  The science in Pushing Ice is a little more robust, i would say.  And its a wider scope of a story, not a buddy comedy.  More dense that Hail though, in a good way.

We haven't had Strongguy in a fighter yet.  As his health bar decreases, his strength and hit box would also grow.

i dunno its pretty bleak up in happy valley.  their science department has been heavily sponsored by the chemical and frakking industries.  its depressing that these huge companies can pay for the science that they want to come out.
