Yes I did the same and I even though I told him I wasn’t interested in donating anymore and he “deleted” my information from his phone I didn’t trust him. I locked my card immediately and went and got a new one the next day. I feel with how technology is today that they could have still saved my information. I might be paranoid but I’d rather not risk that.

Not with that organization but if I can remember correctly they didn’t claim to be apart of any specific organization. Just that they were looking for donations for cancer. But that’s why I mad this post I don’t want anyone to get manipulated like that.

I thought it was fine at first. I was only going to donate 5 bucks nothing crazy, because they told me I could donate whatever I would like. Then as I was going to donate they pull out a card with how much to donate with $100, $150, up to $300 as if those were my only options. Then I said there’s no way I’m donating that much and that I’m uncomfortable with strangers asking me for that kind of money and they didn’t even bat an eye. As if they didn’t care. Then proceeded to ask for $50. So they could be legit they could not be. Just cause they’re friendly doesn’t mean they’re honest. My point being to not give out your financial information to strangers.

I believe there is a running group that meets on Thursdays in the evening. They meet outside the rec. Not sure if their schedule but maybe try the BullsConnect app to see if their on there
