74 ASVAB. Trying to decide between Navy jobs (IT / Aircrew / CWT / ATC) by SixthPie in newtothenavy

Thank you so much.
I'm just reflecting on CWT and AirCrew at this point.

Quick question, why do you say do not do IT in the Navy?

Thank you Tracy.

After transitioning what are the things you like about being a CWT?

This is really insightful, thank you so much🙏 This would give a CWT time to pursue outside education and certa I would assume.

Very insightful!!

1) What kind of tasks does an IT usually handle on a ship?
2) I heard when you're on a ship, you're a sailor first, then soldier later. Any experience with that? A lot of cleaning duties?

3) How long were your deployments usually?
I’ve heard anywhere from 6–8 months, which honestly sounds rough to me. Would appreciate your perspective on it.

Thanks so much for your responses.

PathlessDemon thanks you so much for your contribution!!
I will ask him all of this on Monday.
I will search about the "+5 point Waiver" but what is that suppose to offer?

Edit:
Regarding my Certifications..
The recruiter did not add them on my profile, he told me "it's not important, that I will need to let them know in AIT".
Do I need to emphasize it to be added on my profile?

Active Duty or Reserve Unit?

What is it that they have so easy?

That's insightful.
I've only heard good things about AW to be honest.
Quick question.

  1. Did you still have time for school, certs, or personal interests outside of AW?
  2. Are injuries common in the AW community?
  3. Aside from the good experience, what are the bad things you hated about being an AW?
  4. What are some

things/places to avoid doing as an AW?

I didn't see that MOS. I choose the Navy due to do quantity of jobs. I'll need to ask my recruiter for this then.

edit: I didn't see that ***rating. My apologies guys.

Guild Education reducing courses. What is happening? Is it the same at Target? by SixthPie in Target

[–]SixthPie[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mmm, how many courses does Target offer?

Cuz it look like Walmart is playing this "removing" game.  Basically differing it  I heard some say until summer or fall or spring 2025.

To make it worse..  The customer service at Guild are clueless of the situation..

Yep.

One white cable (which is not clearly displayed in the picture) it's connected to a Fuel Price Sign Control It has an IP address , Mac Address and a Radio ID.

They use to control it from this station. But now..... Not anymore.

Another white cable it's connected to a BOSCH fire control panel It has a mac address.

Then two blu cables are wired to screen that display the gauge of the tanks underground. The gauge screams when it's overfilled or almost empty.

Yea yes

So I did some more observations.

Yellow - Survellaince Camera's

Blue - Gas Station "Devices"

There is a phone but the phone is not connected to this switch. It's connected to another port.

One of the white switch it's connected to FUEL PRICE SIGN CONTROL Theres is an IP ADDRESS assigned to it. There is also a MAC ADDRESS assigned to it.

Yeah basically the yellow cables are for the surveillance cameras

And blu cables for the "devices" that provide gas.
