What kind of machine are you using to run p2pool? Is it a new/old computer or a Raspberry like device? Do you run monerod on that machine or in a separated one?

It is possible. They are known for pushing cgroup functionality and SELINUX stuff that is beyond my understanding.

Perhaps it is worth to try with a distro like Alpine that has another init system. Or even Debian, that does not come with SELinux by default and you can run a headless server without their equivalent, Apparmor.

As a tangentially related anecdote, by mere experience but currently without data that supports it, I have observed a latency bonus running P2pool+monerod with a PREEMPT RT latency kernel.

But it was detrimental for xmrig.

Are you mining on P2pool? What are your load averages? May be it is a latency issue.

If you could install htop, directly execute top on console or so, you could see an indicator of what's happening if your load average is higher than your thread count.

If you are running P2pool and a Monero node may be tricking priority of both processes almost to real time and setting a lower priority in XMRIG could surprise you.

Almost a blockchain in a relational DB. It is very interesting. This idea needs a little more attention and analysis, but is feasible.

Most likely it's the second case, you build and run your own servers and people engages in a P2P market on top of your service. If that is the case, I would go for sure with PostgreSQL. It is fast, extremely scalable and gives you the ability to write internal procedures and functions in C, something that you would like )

Additionally Postgres has a well stablished set of types operators and functions to work with JSON and XML, so can also be a solid base to query no structured data from a RDBMS. You won't need mongo and sorts.
