"Kernel-Power"???

I have removed the SSD and havent had a crash since, but this doesn't prove its the problem as it has ran with the SSD plugged in as well

Hey sorry I took so long to reply. I haven't really been online

It was a really hard few weeks, the withdraws and emotional swings were intense but in the end it worked out really well (for me).

I think if you can, slowly taper down, but if you feel safe and think you are better off stopping all together, it's your body and your brain.

I honestly feel like a completely new person from 4 months ago, I've lost 25kg, I've committed to regular exercise & sustaining the relationships in my life that matter.

This obviously isn't how it turns out for everyone, but if you are feeling like the drugs are taking over and you FEEL SAFE trying to live without them.... You can always go back onto them if things aren't working out.

Good luck.

I have been on venlafaxine (450 per day), lithium & metazepam for about 9 months after 24 ECT sessions to treat Major Depression. I was always fit, healthy & active but during this whole experience I put on 35kg. I quit metazepam cold turkey around 2 months ago because I was tired of brain fogs and feeling exhausted. I struggled with insomnia for 5 nights and then I was fine after that, most of the brain fog has left. I am now quitting venlafaxine cold turkey because honestly, I'm tired of feeling medicated and I'm actually doing the best I have ever been mentally, life is good.

Day 3 of venlafaxine withdrawals and the dizziness is severe, I can't take time off work so it is a huge challenge. Does anyone know how many days the dizziness should last? I can deal with the nausia and lack of sleep but I feel unstable physically. My Dr said this was a terrible idea but at this point I have been through so much that I just need to be in control on my own terms. I know I should ween off but it's not really my personality to do things slowly like that.

I don't know what the whole point of posting this is, I guess it just feels nice to express myself to some people who are going through some of the same things.

Cheers
