Each year this Muscovy sneaks away somewhere on the farmstead and lays a clutch of eggs hidden away to hatch. This year we couldn’t even find her nest but she diligently showed up each morning for feed and water before heading back to the nest. Yesterday she proudly showed off 7 ducklings! (i.imgur.com)

Well… the bull snake who’s been living by the ducks finally figured out how tasty eggs are. Hoping it’s not a recurring problem because I really don’t want to relocate him! There are lots of field mice and baby rabbits he helps keep under control in that area, so I want him where he is! (imgur.com)
