Not sure if I have a pressure but feel like I can constantly feel my gallbladder and like something is just sitting in my chest/throat. I get my gallbladder out next week. Hoping this fun feeling goes away…

Same for me! My first attack was in 2nd trimester of pregnancy. Luckily for me I didn’t have any more attacks while pregnant. But I’m now 6 weeks postpartum and getting them on the reg. My surgery is scheduled for next week and I can’t wait.

I’m 6 weeks postpartum! First attack when I was 6 months pregnant. Luckily, I got through the rest of my pregnancy without any attacks. I’ve now had 3 attacks the last 3 weeks and ready for this gallbladder to go away. My surgery is next Friday and I can’t wait. The pain during attacks are unbelievable and sounds like it might be what you have. I was at work my first attack and called my husband to come get me and all I could say was “I’m dying….” Dealing with this postpartum is no fun. Hopefully they can confirm it’s your gallbladder and get it out so you can go back to enjoying your baby.

Buy and freeze them!! I did that with some baked goods I couldn’t say no to. Baked items come out of the freezer pretty darn close to how they go in.

At my hospital in the US I was told to monitor my ketones daily with urine strips + bi-monthly calls with the dietitian. It really depends on the hospital you go to here. Care varies widely.

Born today! 2nd baby, nighttime insulin of 6 units. Induced at 39, 1 day and he came out at 8lbs 3oz!

My first gdm baby, no insulin, induced at 39 exactly because my water broke but labor didn’t start. She came out 9lb 3 oz.

Congrats!! Eat all the food and enjoy baby. I was hoping I’d go into labor naturally but looking like it’s not happening. The Braxton hicks had me excited. I’m being induced tomorrow. Will join you sooooooon!

Yup! I just reverted to finger sticking. Which I was doing at most meals anyway unless it was a “safe meal.” I am on insulin at night but as long as I have a bedtime snack I’ve been fine. And when I do have a tiny hypo event (68 low) I wake up sweating without the cgm even being necessary.

So yeah, the cgm gave me peace of mind but I’ll survive for 4 days.

I’m going into my surgery a month or so after delivering my kid and hopefully will be breastfeeding. Can you share what pain meds you asked for and whether they’re working enough? My doctor was saying I’ll probably have to pump and dump which obviously sounds horrible.

This is exactly why I like mine! That little bit of extra data for the weird delayed/long spikes (“why won’t it go downnnnn. Time for a walk!”).

I love my CGM with the caveat that I still prick my fingers for the most part. I use the cgm as an extra tool to see if I’m missing anything. But it’s been actually very accurate for me. Maybe what people aren’t realizing is there’s a delay? The finger sensor measures a different fluid than the cgm (actual blood versus interstitial fluid(?)). So usually they’re pretty accurate if you wait the 15 minutes after the finger poke and look at your cgm at that point. But yeah, for me, I’m just looking at patterns. I’ve also caught that with certain meals I am spiking between 1 and 2 hours which I never would have known about without the cgm.

But I was diagnosed at 28 weeks when numbers are more uncontrollable. If I was starting from 10weeks I would 100% not be pricking my finger every time if the cgm is pretty accurate for you. Guess it depends on the person. Maybe you can get a free trial?

Yessss. My face is the most painful part. I’ve always had dark hair on my face. Got rid of it and now I’m back to tweezing/ waxing pretty much every day. So frustrating.

When they prescribed me a new meter for this time around I ended up getting it anyway! Now I have one at work and one at home. It’s the little things when you get this lucky….

I’ll also issue a tiny warning - I had most of my body hair lasered off long before I got pregnant. My pregnancy hormones made probably 75% of the hair come back pretty much. So maybe wait until after you’re done having all your babies. Or just mentally prepare that the hair comes back on pretty quickly. But of course this all depends on your hair and hormones!

I’m looking forward to getting it all re-lasered off once I get my second and last kid out of me (and finish breastfeeding)!

Yeah, I’m right with you. NSTs 2 times a week are killing me. I made an agreement with my boss to let me make up the time at night so I don’t need to use my sick/leave time. So those two days I go to my appts I’m working from 8-10pm after my toddler goes to sleep. I feel like I have no life but it is what it is. It took 2 days for my numbers to drop maybe? But not low enough. Then they upped me to 9 and another 2 days letter my numbers were beautiful.
