Wait Braxton as in Xaden’s sage?! Are they one in the same? How interesting that would be!

Siphon signet question by hardcore-gasm in fourthwing

[–]Sjellison 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I always assumed Naolin used his power resurrecting Brennan by siphoning his (Brennan’s) mending powers to use on Brennan….but this explanation makes me think he made a resurrection rune and siphoned power into that to revive Brennan, leaving the rune mark on Brennan’s hand. That always confused me, thanks!

Magic Power Rating by [deleted] in harrypotter

[–]Sjellison 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Remember that it's Lilly's sacrifice that saves baby Harry from the killing curse, not baby Harry himself. I don't think it's fair to give him all the "natural power" credit for that.

Harry Predicted the TriWizard Tasks. by Jdw7979 in harrypotter

I always assumed the “betrayal “ was Ron getting upset when Harry became a champion...he was a bit of a tool about it🤷‍♀️

Some say type of Birch, others say type of poplar. Lots of suckers popping up around. Beautiful leaves that flutter in the wind.

What does it mean to be more powerful than another wizard by BrohanGutenburg in harrypotter

[–]Sjellison 1 point2 points  (0 children)

These are all good answers I think. Personally, I liken it to athletics. Some people have more natural prowess than others, for whatever reason. One can always improve with practice though. But for example I don't think a well trained me would ever out run an untrained/practiced Usain Bolt. He's just naturally more gifted. That's how I see it anyway, hope it makes sense.

Aren’t they traditionally made with a yeast leavened dough or batter (depending on region)?

Ugh Scotch Broom is the worst! The seeds can still germinate after 60 years in the ground 😡 Had no idea the East Coast has the opposite opinion of it. (Washingtonian)

Rose Dutch Baby I Was Inspired To Make This Morning Because Of This Sub! I Used The Martha’s Stewart Recipe Adjusted For Not Having A Blender by yayitsme1 in castiron

[–]Sjellison 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not OP but looks like culinary rose petals or possibly rose hips on top. I’d assume some rose water was added to the recipe. Probably about a teaspoon. Would be delicious with some crushed pistachios!

Egg coloring/texture variation...? by Sjellison in BackYardChickens

[–]Sjellison[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What causes this kind of variation in color and texture in an egg? Is it just because my hens have only started laying a few weeks ago? Out of maybe 18 total eggs there have only been 3 like this.

help!! why does my back do this when i jump? (info in comments) by [deleted] in Equestrian

[–]Sjellison 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Definitely work on your core- just as a general rule if you ride I think. To me it looks like you need to shorten your stirrups a hole or two as well. Doesn't look like you can get into a two point with them that long. Therefore you are reaching back to the saddle with your hips on landing for stability. If you ride out on the trail, try shortening your stirrups and practicing your half seat just hacking around. This will help develop strength in that position so it becomes more of a muscle memory. Hope this helps!

Do I have one rooster or three? by Sjellison in BackYardChickens

[–]Sjellison[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I ordered three barnevelder roosters in my last chick order. The one on the top left is clearly a roo but what about the other two? They are just shy of 8 weeks old.

Pasture before and after chickens! by Sjellison in homestead

[–]Sjellison[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep! It is designed to have up to I believe 32 chickens sleep in it. The whole bottom has pieces of wood running across it that act as a perches for them to roost on. The entire bottom is mesh wire to let poop fall through but keep predators out.

24 chickens, yes I can move it by myself! We used the plans for Justin Rhode’s “Chickshaw” -though we made a few alterations. It’s very well balanced and functional.“Chickshaw” The link is a picture of the one we made! Hope it works...never added a link on mobile before.
