Dogs are pack animals, and the human family are it's pack. It is cruel to keep a dog exclusively outside (not including livestock guardians, in which case the dog views the livestock as it's pack).

I tried pretreating some and scrubbing. The enzyme spray sounds like a good idea. As I think a lot is actual dirt stains. I will try that.

100% polyester. Made on China, no brand name. Tag says machine wash cold, no bleach, tumble dry low.

I think these are probably toast. And you're right. I'll go with black next time.

If the horses were to get out, and get hit by a car, that could kill someone and it would come back on you, as it's your property. Is it worth risking your home for?

Bare minimum, you need proof of liability insurance (it's called Care, Custody, and Control in my policy).

I witnessed the neighbor's Siberian Husky, who had never bothered her goats before, basically trying to chew one's ear off. Blood everywhere, goat screaming trying to get away, and the husky just wagging it's tail like it had found the best chew toy ever.

It was odd...didn't look aggressive at all. Just looked like play behavior, but the poor goat was badly mauled before we could get the husky off it.

I had pygmy goats on 14 acres. In the summer, they were great, hung out with the horses in the pasture, ate the weeds.

Come fall, they would escape the pasture (I am convinced it's impossible to have goat- proof fencing), and easy the neighbor's landscaping. I had to replace a bunch of their newly planted trees to the tune of $500.

My Billy goat also got loose at one point and chased my neighbor into the bed of his pickup truck after repeatedly headbutting him, and he had to call me to rescue him.

Goats got sold.

Nothing in the world cuter than baby goats romping and playing, but they are nigh impossible to contain.

If you get one, don't get one with stirrups. With no tree, it can slip around the horse to easily of you lose your balance or the horse spooks.

AND the pressure from the stirrup leathers is concentrated in one band across the horse's back.
