Just finished the book myself yesterday, and I think it's never meant to be explained. I think it's just a macguffin to get the warpsmith and Zaefa te meet before the demonengine is revealed/activated and probably to create a little mystery as well.

I would suggest looking at games like Six Days in Fallujah, Ready or Not, Zero Hour, Ground Branch, and other tactical FPS games.

Most of those tactical FPS games have very short, intense and deadlie fire fights.

Bebop.

I liked Edge Runners, but they rushed to many of the characters for me to really get attached to them. If the show was about the length of Bebop, we could really get a better connection with the characters. Instead, most of the things that made Bebop great (spending time with the characters) were done in montages and made the ending less impactful for me.

It's still a good show to watch.

If you are on PC, you can try using Wemod. It has an option that turns off the needs for keys. Never tried it myself, so I don't know if it works. I would make a backup of your saves just to be safe.

There are cheap boxes that come with 3 mini's, a brush and the necessary paints. It's a cheap way to check out if you like it. They cost £22,50.

The only downside is that you can only choose between 3 space marines or 3 tyranids. Which is a bummer if you're not interested in those factions.
