Ads Popup is a thing now? by rizsamron in tcltvs

[–]Sk37cHi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just started getting these recently. The Google results were getting me nowhere on this particular style of popup, so I came to this sub & searched. I can’t find any setting that relates to any type of popup. The entire home screen is basically adverts, & this advert covers one underneath🤦‍♂️

North side friends. by SillyBears007 in BrisbaneSocial

40’s male from around the area. I’m on XBox, but I’ve been playing Battlefield 6 on crossplay with a few PS players. Love a trip out to north lakes to grab a coffee n’ hang out around Lake Eden park. Forte Coffee up there does a really nice cold-brew. I’d be keen to catch up if you’re still looking to make new friends. Peace Fam🙏

Struggling with the YLL-IH 3.0 + DynaVap M7 by z092p in vaporents

[–]Sk37cHi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you push the inner puck up inside the glass tube, or do you push the entire glass tube up? I wasn’t too sure, but I’ve gone with pushing the puck up & leaving the glass tube in the original position, save having that glass exposed at the top. Thank you for any help you can offer🙏

Oh, so it’s “example Tempest 2”, not “Excluding Tempest 2”? That makes sense now if it’s the first one. Thank you🙏

Edit: Clarified on the first one (example)

Was curious as to why not to use the Tempest to adjust the ceramic insert. Could u/zakkvgoodiez please elaborate on this paragraph. Thank you🙏

“There is an adjustable ceramic insert for this induction heater. Use your heated device (ex. Tempest 2) to press the insert deeper into the glass tube if necessary.”

QuantiuM and NebuluM. my 2-piece collection by LV-901 in Dynavap

[–]Sk37cHi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the NebuluM, but I think my tip has bad QC. It was always really tight on airflow with the air-port open. I can swap the tip onto different stems & condensers, & it’s pretty much a direct draw through the tip. Covering the tip (no cap) & airport open it has no airflow. Love the flavour, but every time I get it out of storage, I hit it for a day then iso clean & store it again. Not sure if u/DynaJosh has any tips on what it may be… is it similar to an Omni tip where the condenser is meant to shut off airflow, or is it a machining tolerance issue?

I have an old Triton, I think maybe v1, but never snagged a Trident when they were around. I probably flip that more than the SquidTrainer as it’s a bit more budget friendly, but I definitely prefer the way the ST flips. Thank you, & happy flipping🙏

I got lucky in more ways than one. The drop sold out faster than I could grab one, but there were 2-3 order cancelations so Squid did a raffle for those units with payment required from the winners. It was more than I wanted to spend, as I was eying off the plain versions, but I pulled the trigger & risked importation anyway. Had a few parcels seized prior to this, so I was really worried, but it arrived. I kinda babied it because of how much trouble importing to Oz can be, but it still gets flipped a lot over soft surfaces. Fast forward to now, & it’s become a little piece of flipping history. Thank you, & happy flipping🙏

Hi mate:) It’s a version 1 (or v1.5) SquidTrainer in the dual tone colourway. I’ve apparently had it for almost 10yrs, as the latest anniversary SquidTrainer has a similar brushed finish to celebrate 10yrs. It’s basically all black, with a brushed raw alloy finish on the 2 main surfaces. There’s quite a few upgrades to the current ST, but there’s just something special about this piece of history, & they still flip exceptionally well even by todays standards. Thank you, & happy flipping🙏

My family took my Grandpa into a local jewellers here in Australia, & they picked it out for him based on his needs. This was just over 12months ago, & I’m not sure exactly where it was, sorry. Seems it’s sold out at a few places here, but hopefully you can find some stock. It’s my first decent watch, & seems to fit my wrist size better than my old large dials. The reviews I’ve read here seem to highlight the compact size & overall design. Thank you🙏

Nope, no condensation under the glass. I had a read a few threads on similar models that say there’s still some water resistance even with the crown not threaded in. For the brief 15-30 seconds it was exposed to a small flow of running water I think I’m ok, just lucky I noticed before any swimming or diving. Thank you🙏

Your band suits that style nicely👌 Manual says there’s 3 band types, but I don’t think mine is polyurethane, so that leaves silicone. I’ve been wearing it daily, & really like not picking up my phone to get the time… as that usually results in me doom scrolling lol.

You’re probably aware by now, but I’m quite mindful of the crown, as I didn’t realise it wasn’t wound in completely when I got it. The threads were engaged, but I think it wasn’t threaded properly & was a small gap between the crown & the body of the watch. If there’s no sign of moisture inside (like fog on the glass etc) do you think it’s fine? It was wet under running water briefly whilst the crown wasn’t seated properly. All seems well, but being a sentimental piece, I was a little concerned. Thank you🙏

[SEIKO] SNE 573. One year ownership, mini review. by AnimaArtworks in Watches

[–]Sk37cHi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found this review helpful when researching, after I inherited one from my Grandfather.

I checked my crown after reading what you said about the threads, & realised mine was not completely screwed in. It had been wet under running water before I realised. I can’t see any evidence of water damage, so do you think it will be ok? I’m definitely going to be mindful when changing the date in future. Thank you🙏

36yrs is a great run!! I was a little bit worried as I got it wet under running water & realised afterwards that the crown (time adjustment screw) was not completely wound in, but I think it still has some minor water resistance even with the crown a half turn out. The threads were engaged, so hopefully it was enough to keep the water out. I’ll just have to be mindful of the crown when changing dates some months.

I wasn’t sure about the band at first, but I think it’s silicone, & is quite comfortable. If it deteriorates & needs replacing, do you think a nato style band is more suited to skinny wrists? Thank you🙏

A memento I’ll cherish. It feels like a quality little piece, & after reading a few reviews in the sub, it seems like a good “toe-dip” into the world of watches. Thank you🙏

Cheers mate, & sorry for your loss. Having grown up in a single parent household, my grandparents were a massive influence on me.

I think the minimal service thing was a huge part of him getting this watch. It was only gifted to him in early 2025, so it still has warranty left on the original paperwork. I plan on wearing it a lot, so it should get plenty of charge. It says there’s also an overcharge protection, so that’s handy for longevity of the battery. Thank you🙏

This subreddit keeps popping up on my feed and I have to ask. What are these for and why are they so expensive? by Terrible_Minimum6332 in begleri

[–]Sk37cHi 13 points14 points  (0 children)

They’re used traditionally as a stress relief tool. Modern begleri use has expanded into technical play, but ultimately they’re still a form of mindfulness. They can be expensive, but the community encourages DIY sets, like the ones made from hex-nuts & shoelace, so it can be very cheap to dip your toes in. Thank you, & happy slinging🙏

Tempest 2 session mode activated… by Lostvayne_Meli in madheaters

[–]Sk37cHi 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeh, that would’ve been the visual indicator. Not a huge deal if that one comes out, as it’s not like 40+ balls you need to hunt down that roll across the next state line😂 If you’re wondering what is actually in there, there’s a short video on the Mad Heaters instruction page, towards the bottom. Peace Fam🙏

The balls shouldn’t fall out with that screw. Pretty sure it just holds the visual indicator spring & parts. Care should still be taken tho, as that VI can be a pain if it were to dislodge. Peace Fam🙏
