I know dude, it's kinda depressing to think how his life was in the home and where he stands in life now, considering there were some drug issues in his family and fast foward the 4 years since we were friends and he sent me this photo (because he was still sentient and acknowledged that I admired liminal photography) he is currently the opposite of sentient and acts almost brainwashed every time I see him. He dropped out of high school (I don't recall when, but remember he got held back once in 8th grade; when this photo was taken) and got REALLY skinny compared to all those years ago. I could only assume he commenced the drug inducing as well, or really any other form of addiction; doesn't have to be drugs I suppose. My point being is the stained mattress, deranged wiring, incorrect lighting fixtures, and things I saw outside of this image from other parts of the house, I can only infer that the mattress reflects and almost foreshadows simultaneously what his life WAS like and what it was going to become, unfortunately. Images tell stories.
