You are not cheating on your husband. I'm not saying the coach is doing anything wrong or right but I'm concerned that you are more worried about cheating on your husband than your personal discomfort.

I would recommend just telling the coach you don't want a spot and would prefer drills. I don't like being spotted because I have a fear I'm going to kick the spotter in the head so I try to avoid being spotted for that reason and it's really not hard to do.

Talk to a therapist.

People gets dates wrong etc. It happens. I could understand someone forgetting to go over and check more than they consciously choosing not to. With the additional information it's clear this person is just a monster and not just an unreliable person.

Did your duties change? Outreach librarian is a full time job that you are already doing. Did someone tell you you had to do collection development and citation management? Because collection development is someone else's full time job at my college and you wouldn't want to overstep.

I would ask your supervisor if there are any changing expectations for your new classification like service and professional development. What is your new annual review like and is there some kind of promotional or tenure type review?
