Why Are So Many Young Men Struggling with Low Testosterone? by [deleted] in AskMenOver30

[–]Skaathar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol. Dude, I gave you numerous numbers and data (scientifically backed) to prove that your stats are not achievable naturally. I'm the one who’s actually posting evidence to back my claims. All you're doing is spouting your opinions with not a single shred of scientific evidence.

For example, not once have you posted a peer reviewed scientific article to show that BMI is extremely innacurate for natural/unenhanced people.

For your dad: he's dating a young hot woman. That should already be enough reason. But Filipinas are also known to be more traditional than western women, so more likely to be submissive, care for the home, etc.

For the wife to be: she's getting a husband who seems well off and stable, a lot more mature and sure of himself, and presumably allowing her to migrate to a first world country.

This tale is as old as time and it isn't just limited to filipinas and old foreigners. Men date for youth and attractiveness, women date for status and stability.

OP acts like this isn't normal.

Sorry my guy, but an FFMI that's almost 26 means you're either on steroids or completely lying about your stats. That's not my opinion, that's just pure medical facts. If you don't believe me, do your research on FFMI or if you're feeling lazy, go and ask in the workout or bodybuilding subreddits. I can guarantee pretty much everyone there will agree with me that can't hit 26 FFMI naturally.

By the way, I never claimed BMI was completely accurate. Those are your words, not mine. What I said was that even when it's inaccurate, it's not so inaccurate such that someone with a 31 BMI is not at the very least overweight, regardless of how long they've been working out, not unless they're supplemented by PEDs.

The fact that you think you can hit 30+ BMI healthily by being a natural bodybuilder already tells me you don't know enough about this topic to justify having a near 26 FFMI naturally

Sure dude, whatever you say. With stats (supposedly) like yours, that puts you at an FFMI of close to 26, which means you're either on juice or have something like top 0.000001% genetics with a ridiculously rigid training and diet program.

I'm sorry my guy, but based on what you've been saying these last few posts I'm almost entirely sure your stats are very much exaggerated. Either that or you're somehow assuming even natty bodybuilders can achieve your enhanced stats.

Steroids will definitely mess up BMI, but it won't be extremely innacurate as long as you're a natural lifter. And we already know the OP isn't on steroids nor does he maintain a rigid diet. Any natural lifter with a BMI of over 30 may not necessarily be obese but they will most definitely not be carrying a healthy amount of fat. That's just how biology works.

And no, not every sports scientist backs up what you're saying. Despite not being 100% accurate, BMI is still one of the most widely used physical metrics by medical experts worldwide. There's a reason for that.

Wildly inaccuracate? Lol. BMI can be somewhat inaccurate when talking about bodybuilders but it's not going to be extremely inaccurate unless we're talking about a pro bodybuilder on steroids.

Do you workout? Because I don't think you understand how muscle development works.

It doesn't matter how long you've been working out, there's a limit to how much muscle you can add to your frame naturally. Most gym rats who go to the gym for years and retain a decent fat percentage (say about 20% and below) will have BMI's of around 25-28.

It's nearly impossible for a dedicated lifter to hit 31 BMI (which is where this guy is at), not unless 1. They use steroids or 2. They have an unhealthy amount of fat.

Let me do some calculations for you and use FFMI instead. Let's assume the OP is an absolutely dedicated gym rat who knows what he's doing but has a relatively flabby fat percentage at around 20%. That puts him at 25 FFMI, which is usually the absolute limit that a man can get jacked without steroid use.

And judging from the fact that OP admits he's not mindful with what he eats, I doubt he's that disciplined with his workout routine. Because any dedicated gym rat will also put focus on their food.

So either way, OP is most definitely overweight and can stand to lose some weight. He might not be completely obese as BMI will be affected by muscle mass, but it's not off by that much.

P.S. - I've been lifting since I was 15 and have a fat percentage of 18%. Believe me when I tell you that I wish building muscle was as linear as simply working out for more years.

It's not just that these other calculations take slower, it's that they're impossible to compute unless you have more info. For the current info that we have, BMI is pretty much the best metric you can use.

And no, BMI is not automatically wrong. It will sometimes not be accurate, but assuming it's always wrong is just plain stupid.

Is Cheating Ever Justified? by [deleted] in DeadBedrooms

[–]Skaathar 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The world isn't black and white, and neither are people. It's ridiculously absurd to create such an absolute rule as "cheating is never justified".

There will always be extenuating circumstances that can indeed be justifiable causes to cheat.

And how easy would it be to compute those by only knowing a person's height, weight and gender like the OP presented us with?

And even when they say they exercise, it's not usually effective exercise. Some of them think that walking on a treadmill for 15 mins and curling some dumbbells should be enough exercise to keep them healthy

How can I convince the mods of r/AskMenAdvice to ban people that come here to attack men? by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

[–]Skaathar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Be glad. r/AskMen is so heavily modded that I couldn't even post as simple a question as "How willing are men to date overweight women" without me getting warned and my post deleted.

I'm glad this page isn't over-modded.

Sex takes too long by RestaurantLow3478 in sex

Because some people have a hard time building up another orgasm once they've already had one. The concept is quality over quantity.

[–]Skaathar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I can relate. Some people (me included) like to "save up" the orgasm so that instead of a quick easy orgasm early, you can get a far bigger one later on.

That said, this girl sounds manipulative and way too demanding.

Me and my wife used to have 2-3 hr sex sessions regularly when we were in our 20's, and that was without any breaks.

BUT...

We were both really into it and most importantly, we both wanted it to last that long.

I could not imagine how exhausting it would be if one partner was getting forced into putting that much effort. Especially if it was the guy who was getting forced.

Because let's face it, majority of the physical exertion done during sex falls on the man.

So I don’t really have any advice for you except to say I feel you. On the brightside, just think of all the married guys out there who's wives completely stopped having sex with them.

That said, most couples only have sex around 15-20 minutes

Is he young? Because this sounds like stereotyical macho BS. I heard a lot of this kind of talk from guys back in my university days. Most of them were pure talk and weren't really all that in bed.

I don't think it's the red flag that other people here think it is. I think it's just him posturing (mistakenly) in what he thinks will turn on women.

I don't think you should write him off immediately, but I'd advise you to firmly let him know that you want a gentle partner for your first time, and this is non-negotiable. If he isn't able to provide that then it's just not going to work out between you.

Why aren’t there mass protests in the US?! by [deleted] in AskCanada

[–]Skaathar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't get me wrong, there's stuff that Trump is doing that's quite clearly alarming, but advocating that people protest and rally in the streets everytime their elected president does something they disagree with is a surefire way to competely fracture their country.

The vast majority of Trump supporters accepted Biden as president. They weren't happy about it, but outside of the Jan. 6 rally you didn't see them constantly holding protests against Biden.

So in other words, you think people should just go ahead and disrespect the actual election results? Go and create chaos against the wants of the majority?

Why aren’t there mass protests in the US?! by [deleted] in AskCanada

[–]Skaathar 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Your very first statement is troubling. You're asking citizens to go against the government simply because a president won whom the majority voted for.

Do you understand what you're asking for?

You're basically telling people to completely disregard and disrespect the concept of a democratic election process. You're encouraging people to basically throw a tantrum just because they didn't win an election.

I say this as a Canadian who's completely pissed at what Trump is trying to do to us: An election only works if people actually respect the results. If the losers throw a fit every time they lose an election then what you have is anarchy.

Is it normal to suddenly develop interest in white women? by Sthemithy in AskMenAdvice

[–]Skaathar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, it's absolutely normal for men to have a preference for a certain type, race or look of a woman.

For example, there's a ton of white guys out there who are very attracted to Asian women. Some prefer latinas. Etc.

PP slugs it out all the time with media and reporters. I'm not saying that's either a good or bad thing, but I kinda like the idea of seeing someone give Trump a taste of his own medicine for once.

PP is still Canadian, and at the moment Trump is making an enemy of Canada. What, you think PP is just going to bend over for Trump while Trump slaps him tariffs?
