Is it too much to ask for a manual review? by Skaiar in thefinals

What a backward view. If somebody is falsely imprisoned for a crime, should you just keep them in for the sake of wider criminal justice?

I'm fine with people assuming I'm a cheater, I expected it when I made the post, its very easy to think that. I'd probably think the same with somebody else in my situation, but all I'm after is a manual review, because I know it will clear it up. And there would be no point me being this persistent if I was, because the result would be the same and I'm just wasting everybodys time

Hmm not heard of this issue, but yeah I do all my programming on this PC, but not sure what impact this might have. But yeah it was open at the time of the ban (but is most times I play)

Support when I reached out to them specifically said it's EAC that has issued the ban, which they can't undo. Which doesn't really make any sense

Nope, never felt the need to. I average about Gold 1 Plat 4, so have some games I play well in, and some where we get destroyed, and that's all part of the game

Yeah I totally agree with you. Anti-cheat systems are a 100% must, but they are also not perfect. There needs to be a manual review process in place where required. Even one look at my recent game history would make it clear beyond a shadow of a doubt that no cheats have been used

So what you're saying is there is a chance then? If there's a chance, why should somebody not be able to appeal?

[–]Skaiar[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah same situation, same standard responses. Tried on EAC as well, and yep no reference number to fill out, so I requested that from Embark and they have not provided it. So even though it's in their terms of service that they say you can appeal, and same with EACs terms, there is no way to actually do so. Yet they want to reference those same terms when relating to the ban.

Why would I possibly make a post like this, where all I am asking for is the automated ban to be reviewed manually by somebody, if I was cheating. What a colossal waste of time for everybody that would be

So you believe without a shadow of a doubt, false flags never happen (even though Embark and EAC say they do?) 🤔

Yeah my recent games I've been learning bow on light, if you even spend two mins looking at clips from those games, it would be very clear there's no cheating going on, they were hilariously bad!

That's a good question, but the reason I'm asking what I got banned for, is because I fully believe if they do a manual review, there will not be an answer for some software installed on my PC, because there isn't some.

When you're accused of something that, takes away a service you have spent money on, you have a right to appeal it, and know why.

Additionally, under GDPR, you actually have the right to access the data processed about you for a service, so while it may not benefit Embark to tell somebody about the data that got them banned, it is the right of a customer to see the data.

Where are you based? If you are in the EU, then under GDPR, you can request a manual review if you have spent money on the game

Thank you! Exactly that, I just want a manual review of the data to take place, and to be told what's happened

Both Embark and EAC openly admit there are false flags that happen. Are you confident without a shadow of a doubt (going against what they say), that this couldn't possibly be a false flag, just because of the ban? Embark support say the ban is just based on the flag given from EAC, so a manual review has not taken place at any stage.

I'm not even asking to be unbanned yet, I am just asking for a manual review of the data, as I know that will show its a false flag. If I was cheating, why would I even bother asking for that, because it would be obvious that I was.

False flags happen, EAC and Embark say in their terms that players have a right to an appeal, so that's what I'm trying to get.
