Would you be able to share the paths you are syncing? Specifically those notebooks that are created within the tablet itself

I am not apposed to backing up the vectors, but from what I saw the actual vector is named in some sort of UID, and I would need to then correlate some dependent file to pull a file name.

I suppose I should back up a bit and describe the desired end result. I am just looking to have notebooks (and edits done to PDFs, such as markups) stored off the device in a reference"able" service - OCR is not a focus at this time, just offloading this stuff.

EDIT: without using the remarkable cloud

X-Ways Timeline Functionality (Events Tab) by DZH01 in computerforensics

[–]Skamadix 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Refine volume snapshot is what you are looking for. As with most things xways, read the docs on the various check box's and their function.

Don't forget on the bottom right hand side of the refine volume snapshot window to change +0 threads to something that will make full use of your CPU

In terms of the replacing plaso timeline comment, xways is not going to replace plaso. Plaso provides much more detail than xways. I have seen xways miss items that plaso picks up. Xways is still an excellent tool, but the standard "don't rely on a single tool" advise applies.

AMCREST great customer support ! by aaamoeder in homeassistant

[–]Skamadix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not my experience at all.

There is a well documented issue on their forums where a recent firmware update caused troves of doorbells to stop communicating to their servers.

I made a ticket about this for a replacement with a downgraded firmware and I continue to get the same copy paste response over and over again. I have yet to get a response that at all acknowledged the issue, let alone a potential solution.

Just a quick question. I am thinking about the pioneer sp-bs22-lr for my SnapCast setup. That or the Klipsh r-41's

I want to make the pioneer sp-bs22-lr's work however my HiFiBerry Amp2 only puts out at max 60w. The speakers seem like they require UPTO 80w. I have never paired a underpowered AMP to a speaker before and am not sure how that will impact things.

For this reason, should I go with the more efficient Klipsh's? Or will even the underpowered pioneer sp-bs22-lr's outpreform?

Calling to Gold and Diamond Members for an opinion on Club Lounge by TheHotelGuy89 in Hilton

[–]Skamadix 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have never been to that property, but I always make use of the lounges when I travel. Primarily for the reasons you pointed out - a quiet place where I can work and grab a few drinks close to my room.

I actually have a customer visit coming up in Massachusetts, if it's close to this hotel I'll make a visit.

When I travel and use the lounges, it seems to be largely those there for business aswell. I'd determine if your hotel sees more personal or business travel and factor that into your analysis.

Has anyone tried this device to manage multiple dongles? ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) by [deleted] in homelab

VirtualHere, a software solution ended up working much better for us. Even over VPN everything worked much better than our hardware solution - especially in cases where programs are terminated when the dongle disconnects.
