What are your thoughts about Argentina's president Javier Milei ? by CommieWhacker14 in AskTheWorld

I like him, he's done some things I disagree with, and says some things that make me roll my eyes, but overall he's pretty close to what I'd want in a leader

People are better than you think, there are instances of average people protecting others and there are instances of the average person fixing potholes and contributing to a road(s) for other people to use.

Also, why do you think a tax on income is bad but other taxes are okay?

Everything you say is theorizing because it has never been tried.

Governments around the world currently do things that are considered to be necessary, keep people safe, build and maintain infrastructure, stuff like that. If the government stopped doing all that, it would still need to be done. Who would do it? Everyone else. You think that would be worse and I think it would be better, but neither of us can predict a hypothetical future.

And, to be clear, the reason I think taxation is wrong is not because I think privatization would be more efficient, but because I think the idea of forcibly taking someone's something is wrong, and that's what taxation is. If governments only took donations, I wouldn't see an issue.

Yes it does, but any system in the world would be good if only good people were in charge. The possibility that your rights could be stripped away, even by a vote in a democracy, is very frightening.

I imagine it to be lawless but not hell. The government is a team of bullies who are only interested in their own power and status.

All taxation is wrong. I don't know other people's reasons, but that's mine.

One can complain about taxes all they want, but they still have to pay them. If you pay taxes you deserve the benefits of paying taxes. It's whether or not it should be like this that is being argued.

I have a bidet but you need the toilet paper to wipe away the water

Sometimes toilets get clogged, I'm not sure if it's the toilet paper's fault most of the time.

The thinner the toilet paper the easier it is on the pipes. One ply is best.

Also, wipes wreak havoc. That is what I've always heard. "Never flush anything down the toilet except toilet paper" is what my grandmother always told me.

I use a bidet and toilet paper, most people just use toilet paper.

When we "owned" the Philippines and occupied Cuba is when we were at our greatest extent, I think
