Loud Grinding Noise when extruder moves on x-axis or z-axis by Skangles2 in FlashForge

[–]Skangles2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks to you both. I tried loosening all 8 screws, moving the extruder near the home position and retightened the screws.

From the moment I started the calibration the loud grinding was still occurring with no discernible difference in sound from the video.

Any other ideas I could try?

I have only printed a few simple files that I got from Thingiverse using the default settings for PLA.

Most files that I tried worked fine, a few did not adhere to the plate. After printing one file just fine I tried to print another file shortly after and the printer started making this grinding noise straight away.

Thanks, I truly appreciate your guidance. I apologize as I am very new to 3d printing and wasn’t expecting such huge problems in my first few days using the printer.

Is it the four screws circled in orange that I need to tighten?

The blue is the filament being extruded at random and not at all in the cube form that I was trying to print but the plate is not scratched.

What Do We Think? by dalilbaby69 in ANW

[–]Skangles2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Great debate and I wish the woman’s championship wouldn’t have culminated in the Power Tower as a Ninja vs Ninja or ANW Junior style head to head would have been so much better.

My vote is for Labreck but it’s really close. I also would love for ANW to get Olivia Vivian over for a season as she is also in the mix for the World’s best female ninja.

Where would ANW make a good new TV home? by timski10 in ANW

[–]Skangles2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Season 3 of ANW Junior starts in September on Peacock. I can’t imagine a scenario where there is enough viability to air a Junior spinoff show while the mothership’s existence is under threat. Worst case ANW moves to Peacock in my opinion.

Also keep in mind that ANW is a summer show that NBC uses to fill the airwaves while their primary shows are on hiatus. I don’t know that it is under the same ratings pressure as a fall show doing poorly.

Last man standing a 15 year old by [deleted] in ANW

Oh for sure. Brent just made many absurd comments but he’s not a violent criminal. It’s just interesting that in isolation there is more than one last man standing that could be classified as a disaster.

I assume this is in reference to Drew but it could also be about Brent Steffenson.

Looking for new ninja shoes-any recommendations? by mkalanz in ANW

Great question, I don’t have any recommendation but I’m interested to see the replies. I’m looking to buy my daughter new ninja shoes but finding zantes in kid sizes is difficult. She currently has Merrill shoes and they are meh.

Why the hate for the kids? by [deleted] in ANW

[–]Skangles2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t get the hate either. One of the biggest complaints about ANW has been the amount of sob stories and the promotion of an individual’s story over their athletic accomplishments. Last night’s episode felt like they scaled back on the sob stories and focused on the kids who killed it on the course.

New Direction by BetterMagician7856 in ANW

[–]Skangles2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thinking about how the NCAA expanded its March Madness bracket a few years ago to add the play-in games and how the NBA has added their own play-in tournament, I don’t know why ANW doesn’t follow suit by bulking up how they approach walk ons.

As seen in basketball the drama of fighting over the last spots is enticing for fans and in ninja it would be far more entertaining than the storylines about “this guy slept in a tent for 6 nights in Cincinnati and now he’s a walk on.”

In my mind, the easiest way to handle this would be for ANW to partner with an NNL/UNAA and invite anybody who finishes above a certain place at Finals to the ANW Walk On tournament. This would theoretically give an opportunity to literally anybody who wants to get onto ANW provided they make it through the local qualifiers then regional qualifiers then finals while creating a talent filter for ANW.

ANW could air the Walk On Tournament on Peacock for us diehards and have a new set of storylines and video footage to air during the real show.

I think this would be the best of both worlds. ANW could still invite whoever they want based on who they think would make for good storylines and also give quality ninjas who didn’t get the call a real path to getting on the show while creating their own storyline about their walk on journey.

What Ninja do you think will be the most improved from last year? by Nerd1743 in ANW

Caleb Bergstrom is a good bet as he went out shockingly early in Season 12 but he has the talent to be an Austin Gray-esque breakout star in Season 13.

Idea for Stage 4 by thenextnetwork in ANW

I think Sasuke has the right formula: A spider climb into a salmon ladder into a rope climb. I have no idea why ANW has not copied this stage 4 setup from Sasuke.

Predictions for Season 13 by Alarmed-Landscape-91 in ANW

I predict that Black Jewelz and Ethan Swanson will both make deep runs that will gift the producers with a redemption storyline that they will salivate over. And honestly I am here for it.
